Just learned about Stu's passing.
My condolences to all of his family.
Stu was a classmate of mine at the U of Alberta back in the 60's. I remember him as a most positive guy and one who was always respectful of others.

We want to extend our deepest sympathy to Theresa and Jeffrey at Stuart's passing. We met Stu through tennis at the Calgary Tennis Club back in the day when he and Joe were winning every doubles event in the province and beyond. He was an A category tennis player who loved the sport and the camaraderie associated with it. He was always a fun loving, energetic, participant in many activities and will be greatly missed by his many friends in addition to his loving family.

Dear Theresa, Jeffery and Family,
I am so sorry to learn of Stu's passing. I send my deepest sympathy to all of you.
Stu and I were colleagues at Crescent Heights for a number of years. We had good times at staff functions and I enjoyed Stu's coaching successes! My vision of him right now is walking out to the parking lot beside the P.E. office, sharing some good conversation and laughter!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers, Sincerely, Fran Cormack

My deepest sympathy to you and Jeffrey at your loss, I am sure he will be truly missed and I remember the many happy times we had at St. Matthew School. May his soul Rest In Peace and May perpetual light shine upon him. My prayers are with you at this trying time.
As director of both the Green choir (where Stu got his Choral start) and the Choral Ensemble, I had the pleasure of working with Stu. He always had positive things to say and he brought a beautiful energy to the rehearsals and performances. He made me laugh!!
I will miss him greatly. -Anne Gray
Theresa and Christie, Stu was one of the highlights for me, singing in Chorale Ensemble. He was always animated and kind (it was usually him who started the appreciative whistling and hooting for the Green Choir). We will miss him greatly, and I hope I might see you at post-COVID concerts, to share my condolences.

Please accept my condolences on Stuart’s passing. I was privileged to work with him at Western Canada High School and appreciate how difficult his loss must be. He was a very hardworking and enthusiastic colleague and educator.

Theresa and Jeffrey, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I was the captain of one of those high school championship teams at Crescent Heights back in 1984. "Mr. Mowat" didn't have the most extensive volleyball background, but he more than made up for it with his energy, passion and enthusiasm. A number of players that Stu taught to love the game went on to Club, Provincial Teams, Universities and even Team Canada. Stu gets a big piece of the credit for getting me started on my way to the Barcelona Olympics. A fabulous person with a big heart, Mr Mowat was one of the good ones and we loved him.
Our hearts go out to Aunt Teresa and Jeffrey at this difficult time. Whenever there was a gathering and a party going on, you would always find Uncle Stu in the center of the action sharing the good times, and it wouldn't matter what your age, Stu related to everyone!
Auntie Theresa and Jeffrey. My family sends your our heartfelt condolences and hugest hugs at this difficult time of Uncle Stuart’s passing. We hope you can find comfort in all the wonderful memories you made together. I will never forget Uncle Stu’s love of sports, his witty personality, his endless jokes and his warm smile and hugs that we were always greeted with. Rest In Peace...❤️
Dear Theresa and Jeffery
The passing of Stuart is so sad. He was a tough guy who faced his health issues with courage and strength. We will always remember the many Christmas parties, bbqs, and visits to your beautiful home. Jeffery always made tasty treats for us and we always stayed 4 hours too long each visit!! We will all have warm memories of Stu, and Theresa’s great sense of humour. We have you in our prayers.

Our deepest condolences for your loss, Theresa and Jeffrey. We are so saddened that Stuart had to leave this life so early. He was my best friend for 48 years and we had a lot of good times together. We met through tennis and our friendship extended to many other athletic and social activities.
We always loved our family gatherings with you and certainly enjoyed Stuart's interesting conversations. He always had the ability to come up with a good joke to make us laugh.
We will deeply miss our friend but will always cherish those precious moments we spent together.
Love ... Joe, Engie and Family
Uncle Stu was such a kind and funny man. I will fondly remember his big smile. Sending lots of love to Auntie Theresa and Jeffrey. My heart is hurting for you all and we will be thinking of you on the 17th. Love Jodi, Rob and family.
I will remember Stu as such a loving man. He loved his family and friends dearly, and welcomed me with open arms when I first met him. He was always full of smiles, laughs, and funny dad jokes. I always looked forward to spending time with Stu and the family around Christmas time, and I will cherish the memories we've made. You will be truly missed Stu! <3
