Obituary of Timothy Bligh MASON

November 17, 1934 - Amersham, England
October 3, 2020 – Cochrane, Alberta

Timothy Bligh Mason was born in Amersham, Bucks, England. He died at home of heart complications with his family and favorite grey cat watching over him. He will be missed by his wife Jane, sons, Peter (Sheila) and Ian (Cindy); four wonderful grandchildren, Lexi, Quinn, Markus and Joel, his three sisters, Judy, Caroline and Sally; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tim was educated at Wellington College, and then served as an officer with the British Army in the Malayan Campaign. Tim immigrated to Canada in 1957 with $60.00 in his pocket. After trying his hand at many different jobs, including time as a surveyor, he became a stockbroker in 1966 and settled in the Calgary area.

Tim and Jane ran a small farm for many years and spent time travelling to many parts of the world. Tim loved the outdoors: climbing, skiing, hunting and fishing, a passion that he passed on to his sons.
