Condolences
Marlene contacted my sister, Margot, and I years ago after she heard our mother had passed. Although she had lost contact with our mom, they had been very good friends when they were younger. It was so nice to connect with Marlene and hear all these lovely stories she shared with our mom. I would end up moving just a few houses down from Marlene's old house in Ottewell, and would see her from time to time at my work (vet clinic) when she would bring Frankie in. She was a wonderful woman and I'm very sad to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to her family.
The Garneau family and Seguin family were close during the Legal years and beyond. My mother (Alice Regimbald Garneau Laplante) and Mrs.Seguin were great friends and enjoyed dressing up for Klondike Days. I remember her great sense of humour and vivacity when she would visit. Marlene inherited that gift and was also such a kind, loving person. She had quite a life as I recall the years as her husband’s (Robert L’Heureux) assistant for his magic shows. I never had the pleasure of seeing the act but I am sure it was entertaining. I regret that I lost touch with Marlene over the years and will keep her in my prayers. Bob Garneau
Marlene was truly a wonderful woman and every visit with her was memorable! A great loss for you and Cheyenne, Danielle.
Love to you both.

I went to high school in Edmonton with Marlene. She was such a warm, loving individual. I remember our forays into hypnotism with schoolmates, long walks at night. She did not have an easy life, yet the humor was ever present. May she be wrapped in God’s most loving arms.
Hands down everyone’s favorite Auntie. She was always the life of the party and so much fun to be around. We will always treasure our time with her in Mexico. I learned so much about her in all our private chats. She was such a support to me while I struggled through my first Christmas without my Dad. We are sad that we will never see her again but so grateful for the times we had. She was very special. Sending hugs to everyone who loved and misses her.
