Condolences
Dear Eleanor and Family
I am Yvonne Lachaine. My sincere condolences on your loss.
Tom was my friend and my Boss for many years and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to guide me. We always had a good rapport.
He certainly will be missed and try and remember the good times you had with him and know yours and his friends will be there with you.
Yvonne

Eleanor Reid and Family -
I write to express to you and your family the sincere condolences of the Patricias on the passing of Thomas David Reid. I had met Tom but do not think that we served together. Canada and the Regiment remember Tom's service, and you and your family are no doubt proud of that service. His name will be read in this year’s list of the lost when we read that list out this November in the Scared Space in Beechwood, the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa. His name will also be listed in the 2020 edition of the Patrician’s Last Post section.
Thank you for obviously supporting Tom throughout his service and later. We are glad that he had a long and successful marriage, an extensive and vibrant family and a good life after the army. His obituary certainly says so.
Should any of the family want to maintain a connection with the Regiment, a gratis three year Memorial Membership in the PPCLI Association is available. Contact Mr Herb Kenny, the Membership Chairman, at hkenny@shaw.ca, for details.
Thank you all again.
Brigadier-General Vince Kennedy (Retired)
Colonel of the Regiment

Eleanor and family,
Our sincere condolences on Tom’s passing. He was a great neighbor and our kids speak so fondly of him. They still talk about the “wagon wheels” they would receive every Halloween and we will each have one on Oct 31 in his memory.
Jack and Yvonne.
