Karen I just found out about this and am so sad. We worked together for many years once at Nexen and then surprising again years later at Saipem. You've taught me so much and you are like the strongest person I ever knew I've always admired your strength and wisdom RIP my friend ♥️ you will always in my heart.

I met Karen as one of THREE Karen’s who went house boating on lake Koocanusa in 2012.. 2013 ?? I remember her as a fun, personable woman who would get off the boat and go for solo walks in the woods with her camera . She appeared to embrace life and revel in the beauty of it and I imagine this is a quality that will be cherished and remembered well by those who were close to her . My deepest sympathies on the loss of such a beautiful soul . RIP Karen .
I’d like to send my condolences to all of Karen’s family. I know she will be missed very much by family and friends. I met Karen in 2003 where we both worked contract and stayed good friends over the years. Karen and I had many good times together whether it was meeting up after work, Tim’s for coffee or out for dinner. I thank you for your training, patience and advice over the years. Most of all I will miss your honesty, sense of humour and your laughter. Love you Karen.
I first met Karen in the Bayer offices in Etibicoke, ONT. You could not miss Karen's laugh. She was amazingly open, welcoming and was willing to stop and help if and when she was needed. I was so happy when she later followed us to Calgary and was able reunite with her friends.
Karen we will miss you greatly, but realize heaven is now a much happier place.
All the best
Veldon
Thank You Karen for being such a great friend and sister to my Auntie Sandy. You two definitely have a special relationship. I will never forget the fun time we had at the Stampede! Still makes me smile and chuckle to this day. Rest In Peace.

Karen would be waiting to give a passionate kiss and hug every time we met. On our weekends together when 7:00 rolled around off she'd go to get into her comfy fleece jammies will I was in charge of putting on the kettle for our spiked teas as we settle down for the evening. My heart will always be broken and I will always miss and love you!
My dearest bestie “Sheppie” you will always be it heart. I cherished the time we had, the laughs, the trouble we got in, our travels but most of all I cherish our friendship it was special. Who’s friendship truly lasts as long as ours? To my extended MacIntryre family thank you for Karen! She loved you all so very much.
