Condolences
So sorry to hear of the passing of Perry. Deepest condolences to his wife Shawna, children Matthew, Cole & Rachel and also to his parents Darlene & Larry. Deepest condolences as well to his siblings & all the rest of his extended family.
Perry was always the ‘big brother’ in the department we worked in at Suncor Energy. Full of loyalty, empathy and compassion, especially for the underdog, Perry was always ready to stand with his peers, making their case when they couldn’t. I remember more than one occasion where Perry, the proverbial dog with a bone, wouldn’t leave my office until I had agreed to make things right for whomever it was he was championing for that day. Most often, it’s not what you do that is important...it’s how you do it. Perry just seemed to know that from the beginning.
Perry always had your back. He will be missed.
So sad to hear the news of Perry's passing, I worked with Perry at Suncor in Fort McMurray, such a great fun guy to have on the team. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this sad time. Lisa Canning
Dear Shawna, Matthew, Cole, and Rachel,
I was so saddened to hear of Perry's death. While I never met him, I remember your stories of summer motorcycle trips together as you enjoyed the various Alberta landscapes. I hope those and other happy family memories, will bring you strength and fond smiles, as you face this difficult time. You are in my thoughts.
