Condolences
It was such a pleasure and honour to travel to France with George and Fern to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Dieppe Raid. Their love for each other was something to envy. Heartfelt condolences to George and to Fern's family.
Dear George, I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your best friend and loving wife Fern. I began my working career with Fern in 1980 and she taught me so much in the instalment loans department of atb, not only how to teach an 18 year old girl how to be a quality employee, but about life in general. I truly admired Fern and the love shared between you and her was absolutely amazing and you were always the cutest couple at our social gatherings!! My prayers are with you kind sir. Love Wanda xo
On behalf of the Carleton's, sincere condolences to George and the family. Fern was a wonderful lady and it was a delight to be in her company. Fern and George are a big part of our own family history. With deepest sympathy, Mike Carleton
I was one of the lucky ones who worked with Fern for ATB ( Alberta Treasury Branch) way back in the early 1980’s. She was a no nonsense kind of lady, who through her quiet way showed me how to deal with difficult situations. We shared some laughs and had great conversations. Definitely a wonderful lady. My deepest condolences to her family and friends
Fern was an amazing woman who touched so many lives. All though my Fiancee and I only met Fern a handful of times, each time touched us and left us feeling welcomed and joyous. Fern was the kindest person, and had a way of making us feel at ease in conversations that few have. She was a happy and considerate person who had a deep and strong passion for the life she lived, and what she believed in. Fern touched our lives in such a way that we can promise her kindness will always live on.
With love and sympathy,
2Lt Timothy Branford, Calgary Highlanders, and Kiara Fraser
