Fern Morasch, beloved wife of George A. Morasch, of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the age of 90 years.

 

Fern was born in Castor, AB, on January 20, 1930.

 

She had a successful career with the Alberta Treasury Branch for over thirty-five years, until she retired in 1987. Fern and her loving husband George met through the Alberta Treasury Branch in Edmonton, AB.

 

Fern married George on December 5, 1969. This is a story of true love; never leaving each other’s side. Fern and George are a true testament of honour and commitment for now and forever. Fern accompanied George to represent The Calgary Highlanders at the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid in France. She loved canning, needle point, and researching family history. Fern was an avid reader and journaled until the day she passed away.

 

She is survived by her ever-loving husband, George; and her sister Stella Heathman of Grimshaw, AB. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

Fern was predeceased by her parents, Friedrich and Katharine (Elhard) Minderlen, and her brother Stuart W. Minderlen.
