Winnie Wong, sister-in-law
Eric's quest for knowledge had him travelling extensively abroad, as well as, when he was home, he would take to the books on things he didn't understand.
Eric will be missed greatly for his caring, warm and genuine personality.
I really treasure the time I had with Eric in sharing our views about the World and answering some of his theological questions. I will miss his wits and humours . Rest in peace, Eric. We will certainly meet again.
I first met Eric over 40 years ago when PC and he owned MacLeod Brothers. I was the an articling student and worked on the MacLeod Brothers audit for 2 years. I remember that he always played badminton at noon and was an immaculate dresser. Being a struggling student, he opened up a credit account for me (I was one of the few people he gave credit to) and I was able to get a couple of new suits. I always appreciated that gesture. After that, I always bought my shirts and suits from MacLeod Brothers, even after Eric sold the business. The last time I saw Eric was when he had just purchased a new building on MacLeod Trail and I happened to bump into him. Although that was almost 40 years ago, the meeting, for some reason, sticks in my memory.
He was a real gentleman and I am sure he will be missed.
