Obituary of Daphne Sylvia ALEXANDER

It’s with deep sadness that we share that Daphne Sylvia Alexander of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the age of 86 years.

Daphne was an amazing and beautiful soul. She was mom, nana and a friend to so many people. She lived a full and joyous life filled with much love and many experiences. Her greatest pride and joy came through her large and beautiful family whom she cherished and loved deeply. Daphne always chose to see the best in people and always treated everyone she met with kindness. She was an inspiration to many as she truly embodied what life and love is all about.

Daphne is survived by her three children, Gary (Cindy) Townsend, Sandra (Kevin) Robinson, and Heather (Sam) Secreto; and daughter-in-law Lisa Townsend. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, Chris (Heather), Lacie, Tommy, Josh (Chelsea), Nicola, Noah, Trinity, Jesse and Chase; and great-grandchildren, Brynn, Adam, Owen, Jacob, Ethan, Emma, Asher and Cohen.  She will also be missed by Mae Weiss, who was her closest friend since 1976.  Daphne was also met in heaven by her son Darren Townsend and forever friend Ted.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Daphne’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com. This service allows for close friends and family to celebrate her and the love she shared in her lifetime.
