Condolences
My deepest condolences to the Parkin Family. Pete and I have been friends for almost a decade, and we have enjoyed many great conversations over the years. We always loved to make each other laugh with crazy stories. I remember him telling me the peanut butter story. He loved peanut butter and would eat it right out of the jar, or slather it on bread really thick. Well one day he bit into his sandwich, and two of his front teeth came out. Much to his dismay, he had a board meeting that week that he had to attend in person, and wasn't able to get his teeth fixed in time. In typical Pete fashion he said he walked into the meeting and once it was called to order, he announced that he had lost his teeth and wanted to let everyone know, so he could get it out in the open as the other board members were sure to notice. The entire Board broke out in laughter, and then continued on with the meeting. Pete and I laughed over that one for a long time, and that is just one of his many stories. He was an incredible man, and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

Pete and I worked together at Sovereign General in the late '90s and early 2000s. He had a great sense of humour, and always a desk totally covered with papers - - albeit in very organized stacks. I am shocked and saddened to know that his life was cut short. My sincere sympathy to his family and friends. - Patricia Meadows
Please accept my condolences on Pete's passing. I can imagine this has left a huge crater in your family's lives. I was relieved to learn that he didn't have a long and painful illness, which would have been much more difficult.
I didn't have the opportunity to work with Pete for very long after I joined Sovereign but remember him very clearly and energetic, friendly and so, so personable. Pete ensured he was able to find some connection to each new employee, regardless of position, and made everyone part of his "family". He was a man that all were eager to work hard for. He will be greatly missed by his Sovereign family too.
Please try to feed on Pete's positivity as you work through your grief.

I miss you my brother. You were larger than life, and I can’t believe that I can’t pick up the phone and call you anymore. It is such a strange feeling. But I know that you are still with all of us, always and forever. ❤️ Love always, your brother Jim. Xoxoxo
