Condolences
Dear Denise. So sorry to hear of Floyd’s passing. Gary and I and Morrison’s have wonderful memories of travelling with you and the Eccles. Meeting on the airplane on our way to our Mediterranean Cruise was a great Blessing as it did lead to other times of laughter and travel with the 8 of us. Thanks for coming to Ontario for a visit and giving us more memories! God Bless you and give you His Comfort, Peace and Strength always.
Hugs...Susan and Gary McNaughton
We were greatly saddened to hear of Floyd's passing. We will miss seeing Floyd in Ainsworth. He was always welcoming. We will not forget when he took our boys in the quad to explore the top of the mountain, or our oldest tubing. Our summer pilgrimages from Calgary to Ainsworth will not be the same. Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with you during this difficult time. Laurie and Mark Martens-Morningstar

I did not know you well or for long, but I know kind eyes when I see them. And I could always feel from all around you how loved you were. You opened your house and hospitality to me without question and I knew you were a friend. Thank you for letting me in to your life as brief as it was. It will always be in my heart. You were part of my journey and will not be forgotten.
RIP Mr. Floyd.
Our deepest condolences to all family and friends. He will be missed here in Ainsworth Hot Springs. Floyd always took time to say hello or wave when he passed by us with a smile. I will miss all of our spontaneous chats on the quad or standing next to his truck. They will forever be with me and we and our community will miss Floyd dearly. May he rest in peace in the Lords loving arms.

To Denise and all the extended family our heart goes out to you all.
We have so many memories of wonderful times shared together of Floyd.
We all know that when you got a hug from Floyd, you really got a true hug.
His big full laugh would fill any room.
Many days playing crib....and when he got a lousy hand....2...2...2.
Together we shared golfing, travelling, camping, cooking, and can’t
forget those martinis
Floyd fought a hard battle. Denise you were his rock.
Sharing stories of those who we’ve lost is how we keep from really
losing them. We have many stories and we will never forget what
a wonderful friend we had in Floyd.
We will miss you always.

A 13 year old boy stops in the bushes just outside of the school-yard playground. He finds a tree that is hidden from view where he can hang up his hunting rifle. When school is finished for the day, this young boy runs to the tree and retrieves his gun and starts the long slow walk home. He had seen some fresh tracks in the morning on his way to school and now it is time to take up the chore of providing for his family. You see, this young boy has a responsibility and a job to do. At this young age, when boys are carefree and full of fun, this young boy was thrust into the roll of being the head of his family. His father had passed and it was his time to step up and provider for those he loved.
That young boy grew up fast. He did not have the guiding hand of a father to help him to learn the realities of life but through the trials and errors life places before us, he forged ahead on his own. He believed in casting a wide net. He reached out to all those around him. Everyone was given an equal chance. People were not judged on hear-say. The people that came into his life were however, judged on their own merit. If you were a straight shooter, this young man would give you his hand and his friendship. A friendship you could count on when the chips were down and a friendship that was life-long.
I will miss you Floyd Thompson. I will miss the laughter we shared and those days we spent combing the hills looking for that new adventure that was just around the next corner.
When it came to being a son, a brother, a husband, a father and grand-father you were second to none. You have filled all of our hearts with with beautiful memories that will be with us forever.
God rest your soul amigo.
Floyd loved fishing and hunting. I just used a pound of elk hamburger the other night to make cabbage roll soup. Floyd was a master on the barbeque. May his spirit live on. Will miss you Floyd. RIP
What a great tribute to Floyd. I must add that U had barbequed ribs last night in honour of him. Floyd was a master on the barbeque. And the other night I made cabbage roll soup with some elk hamburger that was given to me from you guys. Floyd loved his fishing and hunting. May the good memories keep his spirit with us. I will miss him too.
