Condolences
So sorry to see of your mother passing Shawna and Trina, thinking if you all Dianne and Bruce Cathcart,
Shawna and Terena, I was so very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. As a member of the staff at Robert Rundle, I have so many lovely memories of staff get togethers, and of the gracious and caring manner in which your mom always welcomed us. Betty was such a kind person, always thinking about others, and never flustered no matter how many people arrived. We had some memorable evenings around the shuffle board table and the fire pit in the back garden, and I will always treasure her carrot cake recipe. She was certainly a very special person, respected and loved by everyone on staff.
Shawna and Terena: So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Betty was such a positive, calming influence wherever she went! I remember Throndson gatherings at Christmas when I was a kid, and wall to wall people with such fun and laughter and your mom and dad were always in the middle of it! Betty was so proud of her "girls" and grandkids. She will be missed by all! May your many happy memories of times spent together be a comfort to you now! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Len and Ardele and families
Our sincere condolences to Betty’s family in this time of loss. Prayerful wishes of strength and courage as you grieve. Members of St. Albert Host Lions Club have fond memories of Betty, a community dedicated individual who was always a very strong supporter of the work the Lions did. As a Partner in Service with your Dad, Rod (an important and energetic Lion member for years), Betty joined him In many Lion’s events and service projects for example Blood Donor Clinic volunteering and others. Our club has a memorial plaque located at St. Albert Lions Park (near the playground), in memory of Rod’s dedicated service which Betty was very much part of. “We will remember her… Pres. Lion Barb Riley, on behalf of St. Albert Host Lions Club.
Shawna and Terena, I am so sorry for your loss. And such a hard time to not gather together to remember her, and comfort each other. I think the first time I met Betty was at Lk Isle, before Shawna and Dan's wedding. I do remember golfing, and what welcoming hosts Betty and Rod were. Since then, my memories of Betty are always of a gentle, kind lady, always a smile on her face, and I know she will be greatly missed by all the family. Once again, my condolences to you all.

Shawna, my condolences to you and all of your families. Your care of, and time spent with, your mother was a testament to how much love you had for one another. I love the pictures and am amazed at how much you look like a young Betty. Much love to you all.
Sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. We enjoyed our Christmases in Montana with the extended Christensen/Tronsdson family. I scrolled through each and every one of the photos. They are marvelous. In some of the pictures of a young Betty, I saw glimmers of Shawna!
Many of my memories of your mom are from Thanksgivings at your house Shawna and Christmases at the cabin. Those times always involved big meals and your mom could always be found at the sink quietly and happily washing dishes for what seemed like hours on end! She always had a smile on her beautiful face. Loved the photos. What an absolutely gorgeous blue dress she wore on what I think may have been her sister’s wedding. It was good to see your dad in the photos too.
I just saw the announcement for Betty in the paper today. Wanted you to send my condolences. Betty was always so kind to me. Rod hired me in the district and he was like a dad to me. Our conference to New York will always be one of my highlights. He was the best principal I ever worked for....so many laughs and great memories. My favorite quote from him was "Take the day off. They aren't going to name a school after you!!" I owe my whole teaching career to him for helping me get started. I miss him a lot and I often asked about Betty when I got together with my teacher friends who are now long retired. I just asked about Betty this summer...so was sad to see this. Your parents will never be forgotten. I still remember Rod speaking so highly about his daughters and grandkids!!!
