Condolences
We were so sorry that we were not able to be here to share your sorrow and remember with you all the joy that Janet brought to everyone she met. Her love of life, love of children, and especially her love of family shone through in everything she did. I know each time Janet walked into the room, we could immediately feel the warmth of her kindness glowing in our hearts. As she walks with the Lord and the angels, may her smile continue to watch over your family and send you condolence, peace, and comfort.
To Greg and to Janet’s loving children, my most sincere condolences. I had the immense blessing to have dear Janet as a companion when we volunteered for the Youth Alpha Program at Bishop Carroll for a couple of years. Her deep faith in Christ and her love for the youth deeply inspired me and we shared a deep bond ever since. While humbly serving in the Healing Ministry, Janet prayed over my son Greg a couple of years ago when he was suffering from post-concussion symptoms for several months following a head injury. Witnessing Janet’s praying over my son, was a turning point in his recovery, physically, spiritually and emotionally. We witnessed God’s full healing of Greg in the months to come and we feel immensely blessed and grateful that God placed dear Janet in our path that day. This speaks to her great devotion and faith in God. I am deeply sorry for your great loss. She adored you all so much. By our faith in God and by her great love for Him, we are assured that Janet has found eternal rest in the loving arms of our Saviour. May the Lord continue to uphold you all in His love and may He comfort your grieving souls. May He shower you with His everlasting Peace. Sincerely, Carole Lynch
My deepest sympathies and love to the entire family. Janet was a prayer warrior, a friend, a faith filled mother, wife and mother and a true teacher to the very end. Her warmth and generosity will be missed. We know that beautiful memories of this amazing woman will carry your hearts through the sad moments and bring your hearts a little peace and healing. She is truly with the Lord, praying and interceding for each one of you, as she did for so many of us over the years.
God bless all you!
My sincere condolences to Janet’s family. Though it has been many years since I worked with Janet at Notre Dame School in Leduc, I have fond memories of that time and the wonderful happy person and teacher she was.
My thoughts are with Janet’s family and know that I am thinking of you. It was a pleasure to know Janet and work with her at Wilderness Village. She will be greatly missed!
What a blessing to have known Janet’s bright, funny, accepting and nurturing ways. One of the grace-lit ones, humble and unassuming, yet always certain of her calling, ever purposeful on her path.
With love,
Bob & Carol
Sincere condolences on behalf of us all Orizzonte families- Ugo and Angela, Edoardo and Michelle, Marcello and Viktoria, Modesto and Laura. Janet was a wonderful woman. I, Angela, had the honor of working for a little while with Janet who was consultant at Holy Cross School. Her smile, her gentle manners and sense of cooperation with both students and teachers attracted everyone to her. May God continue to assist you in your grief and loss and give you comfort knowing that she has found everlasting peace and eternal happiness in His loving hands.
Our deepest condolences. Her friendly smile and her powerful prayers will be missed by all of us at Saint Michaels.
You couldn’t help but be drawn to Janet, there was an aura about her. She was inspiring, full of joy. When she prayed for you, or with you; you felt closer to God. Janet had a gift, her faith. She was God’s gift to St. Michael’s community. Her wisdom, her love for God, her powerful prayer, her time; all were generously shared with anyone in need. Janet, you will be missed by many.
To all who were touched by Janet’s life, but especially to: Greg, mother Louise, her children and their families, and caring friend Milena; may God’s love and your beautiful memories of Janet comfort your hearts.
I am not able to be with you on Saturday but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. With deep condolences, sadness, and love.

Our deepest sympathy to Greg, his children and their families, Janet’s Mother and her dearest friends. As we say goodbye to Janet, we release her to her eternal home in heaven, knowing that we shall see each other again. In the meantime we will hold on to our beautiful memories of a talented, hardworking, loving and well put together Lady. We are grateful that Janet’s journey through her life touched and enriched our own lives.
We had the privilege of working with Janet some years ago, when she was launching an International Education Program for the Calgary Catholic School District. She quickly became one of our favourite clients, and we remained friends long after our professional relationship had ended. Janet was such a lovely and special woman – so warm and funny and vibrant. We just loved her, and we are deeply saddened by her passing. We send our heartfelt condolences to Greg and the family.
We send you all much love with our condolences. Your mom was a gracious and lovely woman of God, compassionate and welcoming. Even in her suffering she spoke only kind words in my presence, and the last words I heard at our last meeting were “Grandchildren are such a blessing,” as she watched my mom and daughter and I eat a meal next to her. It moved me that she only saw blessings and never complained. She was such an example of Gods grace working through suffering. May your hearts be warmed as you continue to learn how loved and special she was to so many others. Thank you for sharing her with us, and letting us walk with you in various ways.
God bless you all,
Karin and Greg Raber
