Obituary of James Patrick (Pat) McCREARY

January 13, 1953 – Calgary, Alberta
November 12, 2020 – Jasper, Alberta

James McCreary, beloved husband of Wendy McCreary (nee Wilkey) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 67 years.

Pat was born in Calgary on January 13, 1953. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and achieved a Professional Landman Designation from the Canadian Association of Professional Landman. He was a member of the PJVA and CAPL. Pat accomplished much through his career and was particularly proud of his numerous land negotiations, exploration and development projects. 

Pat’s adventurous spirit took him, and his family on vacations around the world where he shared his love for hiking, fishing, horseback iding, scuba diving, and motorcycle riding. 

Besides his loving wife Wendy, Pat is survived by his daughter Olivia (John) of Airdrie, AB, his son Connor of Calgary, AB, and his grandchild, Ellyse of Airdrie, AB.  Pat was predeceased by his sister Joie Romane, and parents Olive and James McCreary.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
