Condolences
I’ll always look back and appreciate driving the loop to early morning skates and seeing Ken’s bright orange hat walking towards me. I’d pullover and chat with him knowing full well I’d have limited time to get my equipment on and be ready for practice. His kind words, wisdom and support was worth it and I’ll always hold close his advice and his kindness. Rest In Peace Ken! Thank you so much for your selflessness and for being so inspiring. Sending big heartfelt hugs to the family and may you all continue living your lives making him proud.
Til we meet again.

Dearest Phyl, Cheryl, Cindy, Terry and Mark, and all of your beautiful families,
We care deeply for you and we hope we will always share memories of your Dad and how he has impacted your lives!
We are so thankful to have shared decades of life with Ken & Phyl, as neighbours and as treasured friends, forever. We are so thankful to have been given the opportunity to know and love each one of you, as Ken & Phyl have always included us in special family gatherings and encouraged us to meet and love their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
For this we are eternally grateful.
You are all such beautiful people! Having just watched the service you created for your dear Husband, Dad and Grandpa, we see the giving, the loving and the amazing qualities that like a tree, Ken has planted his qualities into each one of you.
Much comfort to you during the grieving days ahead, we are here for anything you may need.
We love and care for you very much,
Maureen & Glenn Roberts. xo

Sincere sympathy to Phyl and all the Raymond family on the passing of Ken. Phyl and Ken were often a part of my visits to Jamie and Cindy's over the years. He was always so welcoming and interesting to speak with.

From the Yucytus family to the Raymond family are sincerest condolences. We have had a long road together Phyl and so many beautiful memories. Sincerely Jack
Our deepest sympathies to Phil and family for their loss. We first met Ken and Phil when they moved to Bearspaw. For many years, Ken, with Phil, managed, on behalf of Old Timers Hockey, a large semi-annual Dinner/social for disadvantaged people in Calgary.. Ken involved us and other friends as volunteers at these functions, and we gradually became good friends. Ken was a kind, gentle and thoughtful man and a good friend.. We have many good memories of him, including Ken on his beloved tractor after every snowfall ploughing the street and our driveways. He always had a big smile and a cheery wave.. We will dearly miss him, and are better because we knew him.
-Carole and Kevin Doyle,
I have many memories of my friend who was the most gentle of men and am saddened to learn of his passing.
While it has been several years since I had the pleasure of face to face time with Ken and Phyl the times we spent together live in my memory. As a neighbor, a business associate and a curling buddy I will always cherish the love shown to me and my family by the many members of the Raymond family who I have been honored to know.
Rest well my friend
We were very lucky to have met Ken through Mark and Holly. He was a great man and we always enjoyed and looked forward to our visits with him, we know how much he will be missed. Thoughts, prayers, and much love to you all xo

Mr. Raymond, what an inspiration. We sure do miss that familiar bright orange hat speed walking up and down Hamilton Dr. Rain or shine never missed a day of exercise, always there with a big smile and wave. We will never forget how he took care of the whole street, expecting nothing in return. I can still see him out there with his paint roller painting the guard rail bright metallic paint and riding along in his John Deere clearing the snow for all his neighbours to ensure everyone made it safely to where they were going, he was a true legend and is dearly missed.

My Dad always greeted me with a big smile as he extended his right hand out with a firm hand shake.
Dad was a very forgiving person, a trait I hope I can improve on myself. The world would be a much better place if we all had such traits.
I remember years ago when I was 30 years of age, I participated in the Wild Rose Relay Road Race. My portion of the race was from Linden to Acme. After a couple of miles, I was nicely warmed up when I saw Dad waiting to join me on the run. Dad ran beside me and did we ever pick up the pace. To this day I still have trouble believing how a 55-year old man could run that fast. Dad’s ability to run and coach me along the way was truly inspirational. I will never forget that day.

When I moved to Calgary from the US, Cheryl and Cindy scooped me up and gave me a job. I found the girls to be like family and KEN took me down to Immigration once to assist me. I love this family. Many fun and shinanigan filled times with them. My dad met KEN and Phyl at Cheryl and Kurts. We had a great time. Ken and Phyl were was so accepting of me and my family. I always loved and love seeing them. I think KEN was a smart and strong man who gave his kids good tools to excell in all they do. He will be missed greatly.
