Obituary of Kenny WONG

November 18, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Kenny Wong of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the age of 61 years.

Kenny was born on October 19, 1959 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He later immigrated to Canada in 1979. Kenny was extremely ambitious in his pursuit of exploring diverse fields in his lifetime. His curiosity and passion led him to serve the community in multiple ways. He first became a ballroom instructor and opened up his own dance studio, Kenny’s Dance Studio, to share his talent of dancing with others. He also contributed to the Chinese community as he was an ESL assistant and helped those familiarize themselves with the language of English. Kenny served as a real estate agent in his early years. Furthermore, he ventured into traditional Chinese Medicine and became a certified acupuncturist. Kenny had always been dedicated and passionate about his studies and had a positive outlook on life. 

He will be most remembered for his humour, his warm compassion, and determination to help those in need. 

Kenny is survived by his daughters, Andrea and Allison in British Columbia. He is also survived by three brothers and one sister, Wong Fook Ling, Wong Fook Hon, Wong Hock Keong, and Wong Siew Mei in Malaysia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
