We will miss you my friend, so many wonderful memories of our long friendship. Love Doug and Fee Forbes
If I could share a memory of Wayne, it is kick-started by the beautiful way he is depicted in his obituary. It was the very first time I met Wayne and it feels like it was just yesterday. Lisa and I were at The Barley Mill in Eau Claire Market and were mingling among our friends when, from out of nowhere, Lisa fired across the room and belted out to me "OMG, I've found him!" That would mean that she found the man she would later fall in love with, marry and start the family she always wanted. This very bright, beautiful, smiley, charismatic, happy, easy-going, popular, friendly young man easily swarmed any room he was in and touched each person with his sincerity, charm and humour. Before long, Wayne would be coming to pick Lisa up for their dates, (Lisa and I were roomies at the time), and we would both anxiously await his arrival, so excited he was on his way. What a Knight in Shining Armour he was!! He very quickly demonstrated his deep and unfettered devotion to his family and clearly dedicated his life to doing whatever it took to provide, conquer and help to raise their cherished son, Cole. I often wish we had been able to be closer throughout the years, but hearing the very poetic and wonderful way he has been described in his obituary means that he was that true gem of a man, father and friend to all who knew him.
Rest in Peace, Wayne. May you hit a hole in one, on every golf course in the sky.
Lisa and Cole, treasure your memories. My deepest heartfelt condolences to you both and to your family.
Love Always, Kenny Music (Victoria, BC)
