Condolences
Lydia always had a smile and seemed happy and I just loved meeting her because I knew I would get a really big hug. She was so respectful and projected love to all.
I was fortunate to work at the U of C when she was in the kitchen. The Blue Room Christmas buffet was one of Food Services signature celebrations for the campus and Lydia was a key person in its success.
We will miss meeting her and catching up at the annual retired and long service reception in the Red Room over the last many years.
Our condolences to Bruno, Margaret and all family members.
She will be missed so much, another wonderful person has left us.
Rest In Peace Auntie Lidia thank you for the fond memories when we used to go fishing at mcgreger lake and you fell in the lake chasing your fishing line and my mom burning my red shoes I shall treasure them forever Love You❤️.Now you can be with uncle Tony again.Sending hugs to Bruno and Margerat❤️.
Dear Bruno, Mirella and Family, Margaret, Walter and Family,
It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of our beloved Zia Lidia. Our deepest condolences go out to all of you!
She was a remarkable woman - full of energy, full of life, full of love! As there was only 11 months and 4 days apart between Giovanin, my dad, and Zia Lidia, they were very close. They teased each other and had a special fondness between them. Even though I lost my dad at 18 and we lived in different provinces, I have many memories of Zia Lidia and my dad together, and they are happy ones. Sharing a laugh together, meeting up in Penticion in the summer, singing way into the night at weddings, and always sharing a couple of glasses of home made wine. She always kept in touch, and was there for important times in our family - weddings, showers, and wonderful summertime visits. I was so happy that she could meet my daughter and appreciated her frequent calls to check on how we were doing. I loved her very much, and will miss her deeply. May she be at peace, sitting at a table with my dad and Zio Tony, and many other friends, enjoying the best glass of wine together and singing arm in arm!
Love, Jo-Anna, Giorgio and Sofia Nicolato and Zia Ines
My condolences Bruno, Margaret and your family. Lidia was like a sister to me. Born in the same village, so many memories. We are long distance related but close just like family. I will miss her.
God Bless
Margaret and Bruno and families
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. I worked with your mom at the U of C Dining Center and she was a great friend to my mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you during the sad time.
Judy Poscente, Calgary
I will always remember Lidia fondly. Whenever she'd see me, she was always happy and giving me a big hug. I remember her as being so energetic and a firecracker! For example, she and my Nonno were leading a conga line at Nicole's wedding (they were the two oldest people there and were getting the party started!) Sending all of our love and condolences. We are sad that such a bright soul has passed. Con tanto amore da nostra famiglia! xoxo
