Condolences
Sandy, Cory, Shannon and families:
I was shocked to hear of Allan's passing. I have known Allan for many years with him doing water balancing for our projects, and of late at Sylvan Lake , where he was neighbours with our son's in-laws the Guppy's. Allan portrayed a grumpy exterior but had a heart of gold. He was the best in the business of balancing and he always amazed me how he could politely tell Mechanical Engineers how bad their designs were and it was impossible to balance to their specifications yet still produce the paper work that was necessary to bring the job to completion. I will miss his wit and always present smile, he was one of the good ones!

Our condolences to the Reid /Hilton family during this very difficult time. We have many fond memories of Al but there will never be a better “grumpa” than him. Hugs to all of you, Mike and Deanne Petroschuk
I would like to offer my condolences. It is very sad news for us in the industry.
So sad to hear today of Allan’ passing. I was fortunate to have worked on many construction projects in which Allan was part of. He was always helpful and gracious with his time. Always willing to share his vast expertise.
To the family; may you find comfort in the memories of the good times together with Allan.
With sincere condolences.

Some people never really do retire and Al certainly fit this category. It was always a pleasure seeing him manage to spend time at the cabin, especially with his family. Taking the grand-kids for rides on the "train" is a sight that will always stay with me. He will definitely be missed.

I keep thinking God will have realized his mistake and turn back the hands of time and Allan will once again be bringing laughter, joy and wisdom into all of our lives. But I see now...that is not to be.
I was blessed with five wonderful brothers whom I have had the utmost love and admiration for!! How can one girl be so lucky?
Allan was my brother, friend, confidant and inspiration. No matter how sad or how bad anyone’s day was, five minutes with Allan and the world would be sunshine and roses again.
Shannon and Cory, you have NO idea how proud your dad was of you two, your families and all of your accomplishments! Someday we will get together and I will tell you some very funny, and unbelievable things that he has said and done over the years.
Yes, the world has lost a beautiful human and I have lost another one of my precious brothers. Hopefully with all of my wonderful memories, my heart will heal in time.
Allan, you have done so much for all your family and friends, it is now time for you. So, big brother, go slide down a rainbow...build a John Deere sand castle on the ocean floor...and ride a unicorn. You deserve it.
Thank you for all the fun memories and a brothers love.
Barb.
I was lucky enough to work with Al for three years and in all of that time he was wrong about zero times. I always admired how sharp he was in any situation. In my time with him I got so many great stories. I remember one day walking into the garage and seeing him surrounded by bird houses. When I asked him about them he told me "I got blackout drunk last night and when I came to I'd made all of these." I had no idea if he was telling me the truth, but having known Al I believed it was something he could do.
The best thing about Al is how kind he was. Behind his tough exterior was one of the biggest hearts a person could find. I don't know whether Al thought of me as a friend, but he sure made me feel like it.. I will miss my friend dearly.
The world will be missing so many smiles, laughs, and big bear hugs from a man who I have grown to know as the softest yet strongest man who could turn even the dullest of moments into a room full of belly laughter within seconds. You inspired me to be an entrepreneur and you remained entirely humble despite your obvious successes. Uncle you were and will continue to be an icon in my memories and I miss you and I love you.
My Reid you literally rocked my world and became my very best friend. You had a smile that could light up the room.
Every day was memorable and full of adventure. I never knew from one day to the next where we were going, where we were sleeping and what we would be doing. We always came up with something to do.
You were the funniest man and kept your sense of humor till the very end. Saying "Deigner I know why I am leaving early. God is ready to retire and I am the only one who can step into his place and the first thing I am going to do when I get up there is get rid of this covid bull s**t and get the world back to normal"
Love always,
Your Deigner
Jean, Shannon, Cory and families. It is with a heavy heart that we express our condolences on Allan's passing. Friends for over 48 years, Allan was always a true force of nature Whether working, fixing, constructing, playing games or just being Allan, no one could possibly keep up to him, no matter how much they tried. To be able to bottle that energy and knowledge would have made us all wealthy, but having him for a friend was the best gift anyone could receive. We are all truly going to miss him, but feeling blessed because we knew him and he was in our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.
Kathy, P.J. and Chris Pendlebury
A king among men! What a gentleman, kind and generous with his time to any of us that needed to tap into his immense knowledge. The hole he has left will take many years to fill. Condolences to family and friends. I'm so glad that last time we saw each other we man hugged!
Thanks for everything Allan!!
Allan was so much more than a brother to me. He will be in my heart forever.
So sorry to here of Allan's passing. I will always treasure our "business" lunches and pleasant banter on the phone and in my office. Al was one of my favourite people in the industry.

Dear Reid Family, I am in disbelief and shocked at Allan's passing. I knew Allan for over 20 years in the HVAC and TAB industry and had a wonderful working relationship with him. I'm going to miss his calls and our talks very much. He was truly one of the industries greats and I learned so much from him over the years. He is in a very good place now with no suffering and or pain. I'm wishing and sending all of you much strength, peace, comfort, love and light during this difficult time.
Kindest regards, Ron
