Obituary of Edwin “David” DAY

It is with great sadness we announce Edwin “David” Day, beloved husband of Marilyn Day (nee Benson), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 77 years.

David accomplished much in his full life. He first found success in university and completed a doctorate in Chemistry and later a Masters of Business Administration. David was an avid handball player and played his favorite game as long as he could. He was a man of science and learning as well as an inventor and long time business man. From sulphur concrete to enhanced oil recovery to financial markets to photocatalytic air purification he worked to improve processes anywhere and everywhere. Truly his intellect knew no bounds. He never quit working on his businesses and never wanted to, though always made time for family too. To the end, he would do anything for his family. 

His family will miss his incredible strength, integrity and generosity.

Besides his loving wife Marilyn, David is survived by his three sons, Philip, Malcolm, and Adrian; and three grandchildren Leo, Mia, and Mateo.
