Condolences
To Doug, Brian and Don,
I want you to know how sad I am to hear of your Mom's passing. You guys, your Dad and Auntie Shirlee are such a big part of my childhood summer memories. I am thankful for her presense here so I could know her, even just a little bit. God rest her.
All my best to you and yours. Your cousin, Brenda McLachlan
Grandma Shirley, it's been twenty years since I last got to see you, but I think of your brownies, your cookies, all your baked goods, and it's as if I'm licking my teeth clean of the amazing chocolatey taste that has never been replicated. You accepted my sister and I as your own, and helped nurture and grow my love of hockey and baseball. I remember your tin of Lego, the time you gave me a vintage hockey sticker book from 1991, and the time you let me reel the clothesline for half an hour. I have been blessed to have the greatest grandmothers a boy could ever ask for, and I'm so thankful to have been loved by you. Rest easy grandma, we'll hug again in the sunshine someday.
