Condolences
Mother's love is peace. It need not be acquired, it need not be deserved. When our mothers pass, let us see things as with their eyes, remember how they used to say things, use those words ourselves.

Thinking & praying for Peggy & all of Willa's family. I met Willa at the Huntington Manor. She was a lovely lady and I really enjoyed her company.
Our hearts were saddened receiving the news of Willa’s passing. Willa had an enormous gentle heart of gold. She always greeted the very many of us kids in the neighbourhood with open arms and a smile as though she hadn’t seen us in years. She was a beautiful Angel here on earth, and now our beautiful Angel has got her wings. May you frolic in the heavenly fields. Our deepest condolences to the Edmunds family. May God be with you all in your time of sorrow, and give you strength to help you heal through your loss. RIP Willa .... Love the Beaton Family xoxo
One of my favourite memories of my Nana is from my dad's 60th birthday when she was offered a beer and brought a small glass of it, she said 'thank you' and then took the bottle it was poured from instead (in which the majority of the beer remained).
During my dad and my visits at Bowview, my Nana would often contribute wise words, funny stories of my dad's childhood or chime into a conversation with the nurses, stating the scientific name of a common drug or an unexpected remedy for a common illness. She was smart, funny and loving. I am forever grateful to her for raising one of my favourite people in the world, my Dad.
I will miss you dearly Nana.
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. She was one of the smartest & funniest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She will be missed.

As a boy, I remember her being a really warm person, when I knew her in Comox. Unfortunately, I never saw her again after the move East. I’m sorry to hear that her final years were with illness. I’m glad to hear that she’s finally free from suffering a prolonged illness.

Willa was the senior of my 3 Ternan cousins. Being senior, she had the responsibility of being in command whenever any of us got together. We would go to Nelson to visit our Grandparents on their farm and Willa was always in charge so that nobody got too unruly. If anyone got out of line, Willa had a repertoire of spooky stories that she would threaten to tell us, after lights out. During a whooping cough outbreak in 1942, because Eve was arriving, Willa and Billy were quarantined along with me at our house in Rossland. Nothing to do in our prison except make faces at passing neighborhood kids who were free as the breeze. The windows were a mess. Although we were long out of touch, I’ll never forget Willa and the childhood memories that her name provokes.

We lived 2 doors down in Greenview from the Edmunds. 2 vivid memories of Willa are her enjoying her walks with her dog, going up the hill on a blue sky day enjoying the moment. The other is her love for gardening and the flowers in her backyard that she tended. The whole yard was alway full of flowers and plants and were beautiful.

I have so many wonderful memories of Willa. ❤️ I remember as a teen when she would often open her doors to me for some of her beautiful dinners. She was an amazing cook and bless her for including me. Also visits to Huntington were always fun, loved her humour and would often run into her on her walks after my yoga class up by there. Always a wave and a smile as she motored on her way! Visits continued at the manor and we would have some great laughs over my inability to say the flower alstroemeria and loved her stories of jobs at flower shops. Her passion for curling and golf always impressed me as did her joy in the occasional beer and chocolates. Thank you for being a part of my life Willa, you will be dearly missed. Love you
