Rick and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Barb. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your families.
Barb and George were our neighbors for a number of years. Their most admirable attribute was the love they had for their 4-legged friends, the grey cat Squealer and then the wonderful Kobe. They also became surrogate fur parents for our dear dog Tucker. When we asked Tucker if he wanted to go see "Mom Barb"; he blasted out of the house and flew to her front door. She greeted him with laughs, treats and a squeaky toy for him to chase. These are such fond memories and we are so thankful to have them. This makes us also think of some of the lines from the poem called the Rainbow Bridge. The pet licks its owners in joy while the human looks into the soft eyes of their pet—who might have been absent on Earth, but never absent in their heart. Then side by side, they cross the Rainbow Bridge together into Heaven, never again to be separated.
Barb said both Kobe and Tucker would always be in her heart.
