Condolences
I am so sad to hear of the passing of your Father. I have known Clem for several years and found him to be an endearing man. I will miss our annual tax season meeting and all of our phone calls throughout the year. RIP Clem, you will be missed. ♥♥♥

Thinking of you Patty, Joanne, Dan and families. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Clem. I really like him, he was larger than life and always gave me a good chuckle. Sending love and support and may you surround yourself with treasured memories.

I had the pleasure of meeting Clem almost 15 years ago when he and his wife, Diane required computer tutoring. Clem was bigger than life and always so kind, welcoming and fun. I would pop over to help him book trips to warm sunny places then help him sort his photos upon his return. We’d sit in his home office, eat snacks and design Christmas cards or whatever he needed to get done that day. Clem always had the biggest smile on his face. He truly made me feel like family, inviting me out for dinner with his kids to his favourite Italian place in Bridgeland or a sweet little winebar in Kensington. Clem was always so wonderful. When I told him that I’d bought a food truck, he never let a visit pass without asking me how “The Weenie Wagon” was doing. One day I told him I bought a school bus and planned to live and travel in it and he wrote me an email saying that we should probably have brunch before I left. YFC, Clem is how he’d always sign off: “Your Favourite Customer”... I would always sign off YFC as well (Your Favourite Comedian)...gosh, he and Diane even came to a few of my shows at Jupiter Comedy in Kensington. Sitting front row, even after telling them that they were in the danger zone, they’d end up being the stars of the show. So supportive.
We met for brunch. After looking at the menu briefly he said “I want pancakes..” to which I replied “Me too!” Then he goes “I think I’d also like a glass of wine. Would you have a glass of wine?” I smiled at him “Pancakes and wine?!” and with his signature smile, he let out a big happy “Why not?!” We had so much fun on this day, catching up and talking about our future plans. This was one of the last times we ate together.
Clem lived a long full life. He told me 17th Avenue was a dirt road when he first moved to Calgary. He was president of the Petroleum Club the year I was born. He traveled the world, he loooved his family. I will always remember Clem for his kindness, sincerity and joy of life.
I will miss you sweet buddy
Safe travels

My sincerest condolences to The Dumett family. I knew Mr Dumett from two sides of the fence. Clem and Carolyn were terrific neighbours to have across the alley, and I worked at Unocal (Union Oil) from 1980-1993 when Clem was President. He was an old school gentleman, and a pleasure to work under. He was a leader and a man who was fair and honest -- a person one could look up to.

We are deeply saddened by Clem's passing. Although we never met him in person, Clem was considered a valued member of our family, through his friendship with our son, Sam Jones. Sam met Clem through work, shortly after he had lost his own much loved grandfather. A business relationship turned quickly into a true friendship between the two, and Clem filled a huge gap in Sam's life. Sam loved being with Clem, and enjoyed going for lunch with Clem and Clem's friends. Pretty neat for a 25 year old and a 93 year old to be such pals. On behalf of our family, we express sincere thanks to both Clem and his family, who were so welcoming and supportive to Sam. We send our most sincere condolences to Clem's Family, as well as to Judy, who also holds a special place in Sam's heart. From all accounts, Clem's was a life well lived, and we will forever be grateful for the friendship and mentorship he gave so lovingly. Clem was an amazing man and I know you will all miss him.
On behalf of my family I want to pass my deepest condolences to the Dumett family. Clem was a special person with whom I had the pleasure of going on many adventures with. I often think of sitting backwards in the Country Squire on our way to a father son fishing trip on which Dan and myself would test his patience. He will be missed. Travis Peckham.
On behalf of everyone at the Calgary Petroleum Club, I would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the extended family. Mr. Dumett was a fine man, and he will always be fondly remembered and respected .
Sincerely,
