Condolences
a year ago today you left us Sylvia. missing you my friend.
I will miss you sorely Sylvia. You were there when I first started working at Service Canada and I saw you leave for retirement on your last day. You were such an energetic person that had a warm, comfortable aura that radiated happiness to me and those around you. The times when I help you pick and change your computer background to your new favorite picture of your cats will forever be cherished in my heart. May you find the true peace and joy that you deserve and be surrounded with as many cats as you like. Rest in peace Sylvia. Many will miss you.
Dear Jessica, Audrey and family, and Sylvia’s brothers in France. I am deeply saddened for the loss of such a wonderful and caring woman that Sylvia was. Having worked with her for 5 years, I have witnessed her compassion for clients in need and she always made them feel special. They always wanted to see the “sweet woman with the French accent” and I remember someone baking a cake for her because she was so helpful. Her face lit up with pride when she spoke of her children and grandchildren and was so happy to finally show me pictures that she took with her new phone. She shared with me how much fun she had taking her grandsons to the playground. We shared a love for animals and I was happy to finally meet her Gypsy, Kit Kat and Tsunami, and she had the chance to meet my 2 puppies. She also helped me practice my French language skills and made sure I spoke French whenever possible to gain confidence. Sylvia, I have been blessed and very proud to call you my friend. May your soul Rest In Peace and I will always keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry to hear that Sylvia passed away. I worked with Sylvia for many years. She helped many people over the years in her work with the government. She was especially knowledgeable and of great help to Seniors trying to receive their pensions. I will remember the laughs Sylvia and I had together, as well as her smile, her wonderful French accent, her impeccable handwriting, and of course her great kindness. I'm glad that Sylvia was able to relax and enjoy at least some months of cozy retirement at home with the cats. My sincere sympathies to Sylvia's two daughters and her little grandsons.

I am so sad to hear about Sylvia's passing. I worked with her at Service Canada but met her long before then. I was pleasantly surprised to find her working at the same office. She was always so friendly and welcoming. Jessica & Audrey, I know your mom loved you so very much, Cherish the memories you have and know you were so special to her.

My hart is so sad for the passing of Sylvia. I was honored to work with Sylvia in the Citizen Service office downtown in Calgary. She would always talk about her cats and she, Cardigan, the guide dog and I as well as Salsa the guide dog would have coffee outside and sometimes walk across the street to get a slice of banana loaf from choices. Silvia, I know you are with your cats and have probably seen Cardigan and Salsa by now.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Sylvia. She was such a kind, gentle and caring women and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My sincere condolences to the family of Sylvia Greenleaf. I had the privilege of working indirectly with Sylvia most of my career. We became friends, chatted often at work as well I would go to visit Sylvia at her home with her love of cats and other animals. I will miss her dearly and Sylvia will have a special place in my heart. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Ron Holobow
Rest in Peace!
