Condolences
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Gaby. I got to know Gaby quite well while working at Eatons. We managed to stay in contact for several years but as time went on we sadly we lost touch over the years. I was looking to try to re-connect with her and came across her obituary. Gaby was truly an outstanding person who brought her whole self. She had a bigger than life personality and I remember her as someone with a fire and passion for everything and everyone she loved. Deepest condolences to her entire family.
RIP Gabriella, I enjoyed our time at Pennwest together trying to make sense of numbers in PVR and Qbyte FM. I havent seen you in person in quite sometime but I was remembering when I helped you assemble a bed from IKEA in a condo you owned downtown. You will be missed.
Tim
Very sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family. She will be missed.
10 1/2 years ago my wife and I built the house next to Gabriela and her dad. She was a light that would always shine through any darkness Gaby was always so positive and caring
She was always there. When my daughter was 18 months old she locked me and my son out of the house and proceeded to dance on the kitchen table all I had was my phone house and car keys inside. Gaby offered to drive to Karen's work to pick up the spare house key while I tried to coax my daughter to come and open the door (I failed). She was a life saver. I bought locks with keypads after that.
My children, David and Arianna loved trying to peer over the fence to say hi. Our dog always wanted to see Romeo.
Our hearts go out to Dmitry, her dad and all her family. She will be missed. It has been hard not being able talk as much due to the pandemic and my job. We know she is at peace but we are all left with a hole in our hearts from her passing.
R.I.P. Gaby, thank you for being a great neighbor, friend and a light that always shined bright. You are sorely missed everyday.
Love and condolences from
Garyth, Karen, Arianna and David Evans (and pranced dog)
I just want to say that in the very little time I have known Gaby, she had become one of the most extraordinary people to come into our lives. I still remember seeing her the first time and how bright her smile was and warm her hugs were that day.
My heartfelt condolences to her family. God rest her beauto6ful soul.
I am still expecting Gaby to call, text or show up on my doorstep for a heart to heart. She is in my head, my heart and my thoughts.
We met when I moved into her Bowness townhouse complex. We became great friends and explored every inch of Bowness & Edworthy together with her beagle Joely and my pup Joey. We got each other through good times and bad and no matter whose condo we were in, we would have great meals, wine and music - we thought we could always dance the bad things away.
When I moved to the south I encouraged Gaby to to come this way too. She lived with me while her house was being built and I don't think my place was ever cleaner. I'm sure my neighbours were happy that the outdoor parties and dancing stopped though when she moved into her new place.
We have been on so many adventures together, I was even blessed to go to Romania and Budapest with her to meet her sister Timi, her Aunt Mogush and her childhood friend Dora. She was so proud to show me around Oradeo, Romania where she grew up. It was so amazing to see her act as my translator and go between Hungarian, Romanian and English so that we were all together in every conversation.
Gaby loved brunches, walks, hiking, snow shoeing and car adventures and if we weren't on one she was planning one. She was direct, spoke her mind and was loyal to a fault. Her feelings ran deep and when she met Dmitri she found the love of her life. I have never seen her as happy and content as she was with Dmitri and Romeo.
She will be sadly missed and I know she would love all her friends to light a candle for her in Remembrance.
My deepest condolences to all she left behind..."Her Wings Were Ready But Our Hearts Were Not"

My dear friend Gabriela, I can't believe you left us so soon.... I just want to wake up some day and find out this is all a bad dream.
You were such a sweet, carrying, funny girl with a big heart. You always made me laugh!
I wish I could laugh with you again... go shopping how we used to and get stuck in the shoe isle for hours trying on every pair and showing them off to each other like we were on the runway. We had so much fun, time just flew by.
You were always there for me my friend. Thank you for being my dear friend for almost 15 years.
I will miss you so much. You will remain in my heart forever. Rest in peace my dear friend!
Sending our deepest condolences to your loving husband Dmitri, your Dad and your family.
Love Agi and Brent
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dmitri, Gabbi's Dad, family and all friends that grieve the loss of such a beautiful person. Gabriela was a close friend of mine, I met her on a girls trip to Mexico, there was 6 of us that went, we all worked at Nexen except for 1. Gabbi and I were good friends since then, approximately10 years. I have so many great memories. She always made me laugh, was always there for me, the most kind person I have met. Gabbi had a heart of gold. She was very loyal, honest and genuine. She was a great cook, a wonderful host and kept a clean house. We had so much in common, I loved her like a Sister. Gabbi will be greatly missed but I believe God took her so she didn't suffer any longer. I know I will meet you again some day. You are an angel among us and your spirit will live on forever in my heart.
I am thankful I was blessed to have know Gabbi for the short time I did, she has made me a better person and made a difference in my life. God bless and rest in peace beautiful friend xo
Gabriella, my friend, so kind, comforting, always thinking of others. I have already missed you so much, having to stay away because of COVID, no hanging out, sharing our lives. That smiling face. It is impossible to believe, my dear friend. I look to the day when I will see you again soon.
Dear Dmitri and Romeo, I know your hearts must be breaking. I have missed you all and pray for your comfort. Time is your only friend here. May you find comfort in each other and the lovely memories of your years together. I know she loved you so much.
My heart is heavy with Gabriela’s passing. We started off as co-workers and became friends. I will miss our conversations and will always remember her smile and her laugh. She loved sharing her faith, her love of travel and her deep love for Mitri.
I am thankful for the friendship we had. I wish you peace and comfort as you grieve.

Life is a book, and within the book we have people who come into our lives for a sentence, a paragraph, a chapter, a few chapters or the entire book. Gabriela came into our lives only a few years ago, her chapter with us was one of fun and laughter. Always fond of good food, drink and good company – her kind nature, wonderful smile always made our times together so good. Her book has been sadly shorter than expected but the special person she was has made sure she made will long remain in our memories.
Our love and condolences go out to Mitri and the rest of the family.

I am saddened to hear of Gabriela's passing. We worked together, sharing many laughs and more than a few heart to heart discussions on how to solve to world's problems. I will miss her smile, laugh and the feeling of lightness I left with after our conversations.

It's unbelievable that she's gone... she was an amazing friend and beautiful soul. She had a contagious laugh and incredible sense of humor and wit. She loved her family dearly, often talking about her sister and new nephew, and thoroughly enjoyed visits with her dad. My heart goes out to them, and especially Mitri. Who loved her with his heart and soul.
Thank you, Gabi, for adding so much colour to my life. You've gone too soon, my friend, but it comforts me to know you're no longer fighting cancer and are at peace.
I will miss you terribly. Xox
My condolences to all of Gaby's family, especially to Dimitri and her Dad.
Our loss is great & I’m deeply saddened to lose such a beautiful and wonderful Friend.
Gaby has gone way before her time, but knowing that she is in safe and loving hands of God almighty makes it a little easier but still difficult to comprehend that we have lost such a special person
Gaby was a loving & kind woman, a wonderful friend who will never be forgotten . . .
May God bless you Dimitri and her Dad, giving you both the strength and will power to keep going.
Just know that Gaby will be very grateful and thankful that you were her confidant, her support structure, her husband and caretaker through all of this journey that you had together.
My heart is with you, as always.
Your brother in Christ Jesus
Sincerely, Russell
