Condolences
Jo-Anne had endless patience, humour, and knowledge. If you wanted to know anything about anything, Jo would know. Deer flies? Horticulture? Answers to the crossword?
I never saw her angered, annoyed or ruffled, she always seemed to find the humour in things.
She was the most benevolent matriarch I have ever known. I thank Jo-Anne and Carly for welcoming me into their home; I am forever grateful.
I will always remember Joanne as the beautiful teenager next door who babysat we Burns kids, going so far as to accompany us (4 kids under four!) (by train) to a family wedding in Ontario. Her kindness and patience were further demonstrated later when, on the St. François Xavier property, Joanne & Bonnie, by then young adults, welcomed the Burns girls in their room, while DOug & Molly and Dilly & Bill reminisced sans kids. My sisters and I left with makeup and bobbles that our much-loved sitters no longer wanted. Those are the best kind of hand-me downs. I remember her distinctive voice & and wonderful laugh. Lindsay, Sonya, Sandy and I, Shannon, wish the family our heart felt sympathies.
Jo-Anne was a uniquely beautiful soul and took all us teenagers in when we’d show up on her doorstep. Her dry wit will be fondly remembered, but especially how they contained some poignant truths that still live with me today.
You will be missed my many, and my heart goes out to your family as they face this tremendous loss. RIP Jo-Anne.
So sorry to hear that my cousin Jo-Anne has lost her battle and my condolences to her husband, children and grandchildren. Unfortunately as what happens in families we didn't get to see much of one another in our adult lives. I am hoping to attend her celebration of life when it is safe to do so and extend personally my thoughts and love.

Bryan, Kelly, Leah, Kate, Carly, Kurt, Rico, Shaun and Kids, my deepest and heartfelt condolence to all of you. I was so saddened to hear of Jo-Anne passing away last week. She was an incredibly strong and loving person, full of life and love for all of you and her family. I haven't seen you all in sometime and miss you all. It was tough losing Gil last year and not be able to gather family and friends together, this makes it twice as bad. Take care other of yourselves and each other.
My thoughts, prayers and love to all of you in this time of mourning and remembrance. Bryan, I cant express how sad I am that you lost your best friend in the world. Miss ya Aunt Jo-Anne - RIP

I became a neighbour of the Clifford family as a young mother with four children under five years of age. Little did I know that Jo-Anne and her friend Paula would become my constant helpers.
And of course Bonnie, being just slightly younger, came along with them. My deceased son David adored Bonnie. And Duncan took same son David “ exploring “ on the nearby river bank.
My mum always said I was blessed with good fortune to land up on Riverbend Crescent so those kids could help raise mine....some evenings, the teens on the would simply send Bill and me out so they could make a pizza and have a living room to themselves for a few hours..
Parents Molly and Doug were great friends...the Burns family loved the Cliffords..you are all remembered fondly by us...my sincere condolences
Jo-Anne was my big sister and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I always knew I could count on her for anything. Even though she moved to Calgary that didn’t stop us from having great family get togethers twice a year. She gave me four of the best nieces anyone could want. Will miss her everyday.
