I knew Joey as a teenager. He was of a special breed and I mean that in the best way! His heart was evident - the people he cared about he cared deeply for; a protector. He especially cared for his sister and mom and I have no doubt his daughters flowed suit!
Joey had a great sense of humour. At times it was a quiet joke that hit the right moment and other times it a wild idea that would have the group cracking up.
I always appreciated Joey’s willingness to turn around, admit his mistakes and listen to advice. Joey was a deep soul, and that isn’t always easy, but that’s were his deep love and compassion came from. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, JJ.
