Grandpa,
Thank you for always loving us and giving us the support we needed with your kind words, hugs and back scratches. I miss you so much but I am happy that you and Grandma are reunited again. I hope theres plenty of sweets where you are! I know you will continue to look after us and be in our hearts. We love you very much!

Marilyn ...I was so saddened to see your Dad's obituary in the weekend paper. It's hard to lose a parent, perhaps more so when your other parent is gone as well. There are really no words. I'm sending my sincere condolences to you and your family. May happy memories ease your hearts at such a difficult time.

Condolences to the Grant family, I have many fond memories of growing up and spending time time with my Uncle and his family.
A life well lived.

Sending condolences on Dave's passing, with thoughts of my parents, Carl & Lottie, and their joy in time spent with Dave and Sylvia.
To young Dave and Marilyn I send condolences. I spent many hours playing bridge with your mom in Bayview. Your dad was so often there sharing in the conversation, a gracious and thoughtful man. They were two of my favourite people. I think Dave was a little lost after Sylvia died. Be consoled that they’ve found each other again.
Love and prayers, Sue Spratt
Heartfelt condolences. I was fortunate to have Davy for my supervisor at Amoco for a number of years. He always had time for a conversation and willingly offered advice to a “youngster “. Blessings to all his family. Allan Millar
To the family:
My name is Molly Shier, Davy's long time friend, Murray Shier's daughter. I want to express my condolences on behalf of my father as he is not able to do so himself ( at almost 98 he is struggling more with writing, memory, ability to express his thoughts ). My dad still talks about Davy, though, whenever I have a chance to visit him. Every time I go, he talks of Davy. He misses his long time friend deeply, he misses golfing with him, his thoughts are always warm and appreciative of the long friendship he has had with Davy. Davy meant the world to him, and he only has wonderful things to say about the man he was.
I am very grateful that my father had Davy as a friend.
He made my father's life much richer. He was a great gift to my father.
Sending prayers and sympathy to all the family in your loss of him.

My condolences to the family. . My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
My heartfelt condolences to the family. It is never easy when a member of your family has past, but it is especially had at this time when visitation have been limited. May your memories be a blessing and serve to ease your grief.
On behalf of my father, Murray Shier, he, and our family, send heartfelt condolences to your family on the death of Dave. Dave and Murray were life-long friends - they worked together at Amoco and were golfing buddies at the Earl Grey. Murray spoke of Dave often, until his own health has declined in the last couple years, and savored the memories of their friendship, and especially their golf outings, over many years. I know he’ll miss him.
I HAD THE PRIVALIDGE TO WORK WITH DAVE AT AMOCO FOR 20 YEARS. HE WAS MY BOSS WHEN WE OPENED EXPLORATION OFF THE EAST COAST. HE WAS WHAT A GENTLEMAN SHOULD BE. HE WAS UNDERSTANDING, PERSONABLE, AND A GOOD LEADER. HE HAD A GENUINE SENSE OF HUMOUR AND GOT THINGS DONE. ISOBEL AND I WERE CLOSE FRIENDS WITH DAVE AND SYLVIA FOR MANY HAPPY YEARS--ON THE GOLF COARSE, AT THE BRIDGE TABLE AND TRAVELLING. WE MISS THEM--- SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY-----ISOBEL AND DARYL BIRNIE
I was privileged to know Dave at Lakeview United Church. I wholeheartedly agree with an earlier comment: He did carry a twinkle in his eye! He was always actively involved and cheerfully involved in church life. He will be missed.
