Mario was a mentor and a friend. He taught me so much during the few short months I knew him. He always got the joke and he always had the answer to all of my numerous questions. He will always have my thanks.

To Rosina, Sabrina, Matteo and the Pennetta Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Mario's passing. I am thankful to have shared memories with Mario, I remember Mario and I were patrol captains at St. Hubert together, we went on to St.Helen's and St. Francis to share even more wonderful memories. Although we did not see much of each other the times that we did I will cherish. He always had a huge smile on his face, spoke softly and was always kind. Where lives pass, memories carry on forever.
May time help you heal and bring you to peace.

The heartbreak of such a loss for you all is hard to put to words. I remember Mar "bringing a girl" to one of our MANY gatherings at Nickie and Steves house. Wondering who this Rose girl was. The rest is history I suppose but there are so many memories of all the fun we had as a group of friends. I was honoured to read at your wedding and to share the beautiful poem you wrote for your father Paolo at his graveside. Life continued, children were born, years passed and it just always seemed you would be there on some special occassions and we'd touch base again.
Sincere condolences to you all. Perhaps one day soon we can be together to share a few stories and raise a glass in his honour. Much love
Rosina and Family, Nickie and Family, and Pennetta Family
My thoughts and prayers are with you as I can remember Mario growing up as a child. So sorry for your loss.

Rosina, Sabrina, Matteo, Mrs. Pennetta, Nicki, Anthony and families,
I was heartbroken to hear of Mario's tragic passing days ago. Since that time, I've had a rush of childhood and school memories flood my mind. Mario's smile was bright, sincere and his heartfelt laugh would fill up a room. He was always so kind, inclusive and friendly. In elementary we would always play soccer, games, and hide and seek in our neighbourhood. I especially remember a large group of us going to see Star Wars in the movie theatre for the first time. It was a big deal as it was the first time we were all going without our parents. Renato and Mario never stopped talking about it. In Jr. High, we were involved in numerous class pranks. In high school, you began to see his love of history because he'd get into great debates with us. We had so many great life discussions. Rose, you truly had a real life fairy tale. To think that Mario lived several doors down the road from you as a child and you would build your life in a home across the school where you first met. Beautiful. Many people search an entire life time to find their soul mate. Your children are a beautiful testament to your love story. There is no rhyme or reason to explain why such terrible things happen to those we love.
Death leaves a pain no one can heal but Love leaves memories no one can steal. Cherish, protect and hold on to those memories as they will give you the strength and courage to get you and your family through some of your darkest days. I am sending you my most sincere prayers, hugs and condolences your way. Mario, thanks for some beautiful memories and your friendship. Until we meet again my friend. Rest In Peace.
