It is with great sadness, that I just learned of Myron's passing. Back in 1989, my parents, Maxine and Emerson and my sister Luann, had visited with them in Calgary. In 2000 my husband Ken and I also had the pleasure of visiting with them. What wonderful people! Gracious hosts and we so enjoyed the visiting and sharing of stories. We made wonderful memories. Our condolences and prayers are with the family.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute to your Dad. We were honoured to see and hear Myron’s music at my Mother Kathleen’s Memorial service in 2017. Kathy and Myron met at Tech and our family and yours were lifelong friends, your parents being Marlene’s godparents. I remember visits to your house on many occasions when your Dad played the Sax and my Mum and your’s played the piano while we kids played in the basement with the numerous games collection you had!

My Father, Verne, passed in 2018, just after his 100th birthday. Like your Dad, we were so lucky to have them and their wisdom for so many ‘bonus’ years and they will be forever missed.

Your Dad was such a gentle and kind soul. They lived in an unforgettable era and we were well taught. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Bill, Marg, Sharon and all the Crist family,

It was with great sadness that I learned of Myron's passing. Your sense of loss and grief is tempered by the sharing of his wonderful life for 99 years and I want you all to know that I deeply share and also grieve your loss.

Rarely have I known a person who so generously shared his love and talents and who was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. His acceptance of life as it unfolded was an inspiration to all of us - undaunted by the physical challenges he faced as he adapted to the mobility issues and seemed to just keep going with blowing his horn and sharing his life and music with everyone.

He was so fortunate to have such a caring and loving family as all of you did so much to make his life easier. We talked often about that and how proud he was of all of you on those many occasions when he invited me to join him for dinner at the Harbours after the Sunday concerts. He will be sadly missed by all the folks there and also the many years in the band at Confederation Park and at the Legion and at the Blind institute which I had the privilege of sharing with him over many years.

I'm inspired by his commitment to keep going and arranging to travel with Calgary Access with his horn and everything he needed so well organized in his walker for the music events.

Once again I want you all to know you are all in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve and mourn the loss of Myron which I share with all of you while rejoicing at the wonderful happy and long life he enjoyed.

Watching the service and tributes to Uncle Myron brought back such wonderful memories. Uncle Myron and Aunt Phyllis were a great team who raised a beautiful family who I’ve been so lucky to spend time with. They added a richness to our lives that we will continue to share with others. Warren and I wish to extend our most sincere condolences to Bill, Marg, Sharon and all of Myron's family. We feel a deep loss upon learning that Myron passed away. Myron was a wonderful man -- the "salt of the earth." He was never idle -- always busy and the first to offer a helping hand. Warren spent many a happy hour with Myron putting things together and taking things apart. He loved music and he loved life. Both Myron and Phyllis were a very positive influence on our lives. Myron brought joy to everyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Myron was one of a kind and we loved him. Rest in peace, Myron.

Uncle Myron,, my out of town dad ,you were the most caring man I know. Thank you for so many good memories. All my love and support for Bill and Sharon and their family’s . Love Blair Kennedy.

My dad introduced me to Myron when but a small child and when I got my first car in 1969 I took my old 56 Chevy to Myron whenever it needed some mechanical attention. He was the "family" mechanic for my dad Newell Haynes, and many of the Haynes family as well. He was a very honest and trustworthy man and could fix any any vehicle that was in our family. On behalf of the Newell Haynes family I would like to send our deepest sympathy.

As a volunteer at confederation park I would always enjoy the visits I had and then listening to the band on Thursday afternoon I would always offer to help Myron out to Bills car Myron would always say to me that he’s still young enough to handle it while waiting for Bill I truly loved and appreciateted his kind caring nature towards me Bill my deepest condolences and sympathies to you and your entire family god bless you all in your time of loss Jim Krueger Thursday afternoon Voulnteer

I still remember fishing in port hardy and uncle Myron was the only one not catching anything, he decided to check his hooks and low and behold he had two fish on !!! Great memory
