Condolences
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Larry as his support aid through CSPD for over 10 years. He was our gentle giant, my boys, friends and family all knew Larry and we will miss him. I have had the opportunity to continue to see Larry through the Special Olympics and I always looked forward to seeing him at ball practice. As we all know he would be an hour early! Thoughts hugs and prayer to John and his family. Larry holds a very special place in my heart and he always will. Someone that holds that much love, caring and compassion is one of a kind.
Miss you Larry
My Deepest Sympathy to Larry's Family and to Ana and Romi. How sad you all must be at Larry's sudden passing. My heart too felt his loss. I was so privileged to have been Larry's direct support person in the early days of my career when he and Mike Wilson lived in an apartment by Chinook Centre. From those early times and up until his passing he was someone easy to be around. He was a truly kind and thoughtful person, courteous and always willing to help. Larry was a role model and his brother John looked up to him. I always felt that John was more at ease whenever Larry was around. Larry's work ethic was unmatched, he worked tirelessly at Ventures up early and off to work. He loved his job and took great pride in it and what ever else he did. I remember one time when he was moving to a new place, I arrived before the movers and Larry's room was completely packed up, boxes stacked neatly and his bed completely disassembled ready for the movers. I mean who does that? Larry did.
No question Larry was his own person, he could happily spend solitary time watching his movies or doing his puzzle books and he was equally happy to be around others. Larry was a favourite of mine! I'll miss seeing him and miss that positive attitude. I'll always remember his favourite expression "no matter", which meant it's Ok, no worries. You were a true gift. Rest In Peace Larry.
A good soul who will be greatly missed by all his friends. Robbyn Hamilton
Sincere condolences from everyone at Venturers to the Hank family and particularly John, who was a long time member of our community as well. Larry was a great brother, son, friend, teammate and will be missed by everybody who was privileged to know him. We were very fortunate to spend so much time with Larry; working alongside, laughing, losing many games of crib to him, and just sharing our days. He made a difference and will always be a Venturer.
Love to all of you and Rest in Peace Larry.
I was so saddened to hear of Larry's passing. He will be missed by many, and very missed by his brother John. I send my deepest sympathy to all of Larry's family and also to Ana and Romi, who were Larry's extended family. May he rest in peace. Cheryle
