Obituary of Beverley Marjorie WRIGHT

November 6, 1944 – Montreal, Quebec November 21, 2017 – Okotoks, Alberta Bev beloved wife of Robert James Wright of Calgary, AB, was at the Foothills Country Hospice, surrounded by family, when the Lord gently and mercifully took her soul into his loving embrace on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the age of 73 years. Bev married Bob on Valentine’s Day, February 14th 1969 – they were happily married for forty-eight years. They shared a love of camping and nature and built many cherished memories with their family and friends. Bev volunteered her time and talents her whole adult life to her church and community. She contracted a chronic illness in her early 50’s that would bring challenges to her health in the coming years. Bev has been a mentor of strength, resilience, adaptability and perseverance and an inspiration to her family. Her caring, kindness & sincerity toward others will be remembered as well as her smart wit and creative problem-solving ability. She will be missed so dearly. Bev is predeceased by her parents Marjorie and Sheffield Brown, her sister Barbara, Mother and Father In-law Gilbert and Helga Wright and brother in law Gerry. Besides her loving husband Bob Wright, Bev is survived by her two daughters Sandra and Brenda and son-in-law Dan, her son Trevor and daughter-in-law Megan, siblings Bob and Donna and two young grandchildren Matthew and Emily. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church on Saturday, where an optional viewing of casket is to be held before the service.
