Condolences
To the family of Jack Thompson. I had known Jack for approx. 40 years and had touched base every year since we met. We played golf with Jack several times over the years in the various golf tournaments that he organized through the RAUSI club at Mewata Armories. Jack's daughter Fran also participated in the tournaments at Earl Grey and Silver Wing golf course. I last spoke to Jack shortly before or shortly after the New Year. We resolved to at least meet for coffee during 2021 and hopefully get in at least one round of golf, given that the pandemic made that impossible in 2020. I was shocked to learn of his passing and also his stay at a hospice. I did not know that he had fallen ill. Rest easy Jack.

To dear Anne, Julie and Francesca , we were so sad to hear of Jack’s death. I was so glad I could talk to him on FaceTime in his last days. I have happy memories of meeting you all when we were children and wonderful memories of catching up with you all again in Canada in recent times. Jack was a true gentleman and your loss will be great . However you must have such a lot of treasured memories of your life with him. We send you much love and hope to meet again when we are finally allowed to travel. With much love. Elizabeth and Robert. Xxxxxx
Miss you jack at printers coffe klatch. Enjoyed your friendship during years in printing Jim Taylor Atomic Press God be with you Jack
We remember Jack and Mary very well, they were great friends of our parents Gordon and Irene. Jack came to visit our Mom in the hospital at her request a year and a half ago during her last months. As fellow English expatriates they had formed a firm bond when Jack came "selling" to Molsons Western Breweries (where Irene worked as Office Administrator) all those years ago. (When Jack was making a sale it was best just to go along with his plan) He is well and fondly remembered by our family.
