Merlin Michael Traboulay passed away peacefully Sunday morning on March 07, 2021.

Merlin was born in San Fernando, Trinidad, West Indies on August 13, 1935, and is survived by his wife Hendrika, children, Alexander (Kelli), Kevin (Angela), and Toscha; his six grandchildren, Macaulay, Austin, Alaysha, Natasha, Jasmyn and Vanessa; his four great-grandchildren, Liam, Grayson, Ethan, and Theo; his siblings, Jimmy, June, and Anne (Trinidad); and mother of his children and first wife Doris Effa.

Merlin was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Norrington; his brothers, Leonard (Lenny) and Elman; and his sister Janet.

Our gratitude and thanks for the care and dedication to Doctors Scott, Wilson, Lowe, and Fripp and an extra special thank you to Catherine, Jen, and Jenel all from the Complex Disease Management Clinic at the Peter Lougheed Centre. Our thanks also to the Palliative Home Care Team of Calgary North, nurses Amal, Noreen, Darcia, and Michele. Lastly, we would like to thank all of the wonderful and dedicated front line caregivers, nurses, etc. from the BSF Clifton Manor Nursing Home who made Merlin’s last months enjoyable.

Merlin’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 12th, 2021, at the Chapel of the Bells - McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes (by invitation only) at 2720 Centre St N. Calgary AB.
