Condolences
To the Meyer family.
I was sorry to learn only today of the passing of Pat.
I had the chance to meet Pat and George back in the early ‘80’s when I played the cello with a trio every evening for two summers at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton. It was such an idyllic place to play while watching the sun set every evening. George would faithfully be there to listen whenever he could. After we played they would always invite us to their place in the townsite afterwards for a refreshment and lots of laughs.
George and Pat were a great team - just so genuine, gracious and hospitable to us, and I’m sure to all whom they met throughout their life.
Blessings and many happy and lasting memories to you all.

We are sad to hear about Pat. She was a long time family friend and we loved our Johnson/Meyer neighbours in Nanton. When Dennny and I were 5 we would venture the 4 blocks to visit Pat and George where we were always warmly welcomed. Marilyn and Tom join Doug and me (Evelyn) in sending our love and sympathy to George and all Pat's family
Our most heartfelt condolences to George and family. We are forever grateful to have crossed paths with the Meyer family. The opportunities and guidance in the newspaper business and your friendship we will always treasure. We so admired the love and mutual respect that Pat and George had for each other. Great big hugs to George and family. Rest In Peace Pat. Sincerely Roxanne and Keith Thompson
My condolences to the family. May all your memories help you thru this loss.

Dear George, Holly, Janet and Virginia. I am so sorry for your loss. It’s been a long time since you lived in Taber and I have so many fond memories of all of you and spending many nights in your home to attend activities. Your mom was always busy and so cheerful! Holly, I think of you often and wonder how you’re doing. Sending you love and hugs during this difficult time.
Sincerely, Joanne (Zelenka) Bronsch
Holly, Janet, Virginia and George....Oh I am so sorry..I have not talked to her in awhile but I think of her often. We live near the lake and think of her while walking past her house...I have lots of her chemicals that I am still using. I missed her dropping into my studio when she was rushing off to exercise or swim or squeeze in errands before she moved into Calgary..She squeezed in visits and I was always so glad to see her. She was an accomplished artist but so humble. She had so much clay knowledge and we loved sharing our clay experiences..I am so sad that she has passed away..there were many more conversations I wanted to have with her. She was a very special person..She has left a legacy of her pottery to many people, especially in High River and to her family. Sincerely Connie and Bob Pike (connie@pikestudios.com)
Dear George, Holly, Janet , Virgina and families please accept our deepest in sympathy in the loss of your wife and mother Pat. We had the pleasure of being their neighbor here in High River for 30 years. Pat always was such a kind and pleasant neighbor. She was truly missed when she left but was always in our thoughts.

Sorry to read of Pat's passing. I knew your Wife and Mom from the HR pool. I wanted some mushroom pots. Pat had never heard of them and between us she knew what I wanted & made some lovely ones for me. She was a special lady.

Pat was such a lovely lady, light hearted, so interesting and always made me smile. When Pat and George sold their home in High River a couple of years ago, Pat called me to to please come and help her out by taking art supplies that she had collected over the years. She wanted them to go to a good home. We always shared the love of art and I am so touched to have these things that I use every day and always think of Pat. Dear George and family my deepest condolences. Pat’s strong spirit will carry on. Jane and Joe Russell
Dear George and all family members. Your Mom and Grandma was such a lovely lady, a person who crossed the path of my life a couple of times, once during my teens as a CGIT member and then later through the High River United Church where I absolutely loved visiting with your parents.
Recently I have been a continuing contact from the High River United Church and was so always happy to visit with your Mom, whether on the phone or in person.
Please know that Pat and George are fondly missed by all who know or knew them.
Blessings to each of you at this time.
Sad times, great memories.
Some 50 years ago, this writer, under George and Walter’s tutelage, met Pat and enjoyed a few meals at their home in Taber. In the ensuing years, Pat’s persona and ever-present smile appeared at many newspaper events and we will think of her often. Rest easy, old friend.
