Condolences
I would like to express my condolences of the passing of Lucia. She was a feisty lady and I enjoyed sitting with her, Jean and mum at Providence in the dining room. It was the trio of European ladies! Due to COVID I wasn't able to go into the dining room for the past year, but a little while ago, I asked the staff if mum and Lucia were still sitting together for meals. (Jean passed away about three months ago). Today, when I asked about Lucia, I heard of her passing. When I visited the ladies in the dining room prior to COVID, Lucia would talk about Montreal often and also her upbringing in Italy. She was always friendly to me and I am very sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to the family.
I've never met Lucia, but I know her son Tony very well. He would always talk about her whenever we meet up for dinner; she seemed like a very lively person and always kept the staff at Providence Care on their toes! The restrictions on visits during Covid has been especially hard. May you rest in peace Lucia. I wish the family well, and they are in my thoughts.

I remember Lucia as a kind and gracious lady. One of my fun memories was from Montreal North when Lucia gave me an entire batch of delicious "Bomboloni" to enjoy at home! A visiting Uncle ate so many of them he called them "belly bombs"!! But everyone, including him, called them fantastic! Rest In Peace, Lucia.
