Obituary of Dale Philip SCHAFER

August 2, 1953 – Kincaid, Saskatchewan November 18, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Dale, husband of Deb Schafer (nee Whittingham), father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, of Calgary, AB, on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Besides his loving wife Deb, Dale is survived by his son Matt, daughter Alana (Jeff), grandson Jake, his mother Ann, and his two siblings Gerry and Clara along with numerous family relatives. Dale was predeceased by his father Stephen and his brother Glen. The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers at the Southwood Hospice for all their care and kindness throughout Dale’s illness. A Celebration of Dale’s wonderful life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
