Obituary of John DOLAN

May 8, 1944 – Glasgow, Scotland
March 24, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

John Dolan, beloved husband of Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Dolan (nee Boyle), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the age of 76 years.

John was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on May 8, 1944. He was a Caretaker at the Alberta Catholic School Board for twenty-seven years. John married Betty in 1965, which he always said was one of the most cherished days of his life.

John was an avid reader and particularly liked reading history books; he also enjoyed taking care of his animals. His most memorable vacation was when he visited Spain and Greece with his wife, brother, and sister-in-law.

Besides his loving wife, John is survived by his daughter Nadene Larson, his son and daughter-in-law, Magnus and Debbie Larson; and his granddaughter Harper Larson. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Summers; numerous nieces and nephews in Scotland and Canada; and his pets, Oliver, Destiny, and Cassidy. John was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and William Dolan; his brother Billy Dolan, and his sister Jane Campbell.

John will be most remembered for his kind and gentle nature.
