Condolences
We miss Don, but believe him to now be in a better place. That brings us comfort, as do our wonderful memories with him and Helen. We remember our adventures with them on an empty cruise ship docked in Sydney Harbour, the humour of the mini pancake that he cooked for Annaliese in their kitchen, the scenic tour of the Bar U Ranch and the tea house in Banff on an exquisite afternoon together, the sharing of truly delicious meals together, the appreciation of Don's vintage items and the admiration of their garden produce. We have shared so many treasured moments. We thank you for them all. May the family members and friends who also miss Don so much find comfort in their own special memories of their time with this awesome man.

So sad that Don is gone from our lives. Having known Don for over 55 years, we shared many, many great times together. Don always enjoyed a good time. We always looked forward to visiting with Don & Helen whenever we got to Calgary. Don & Helen almost always came to visit us whenever they came through Saskatoon. He's going to leave a large hole to fill. Don had many good friends, but he was my best friend. So long, Buddy.

Thinking of you Chad, Leah and all of your family. God’s grace be with you.

I met Don when he worked on a couple of Princess cruises. He was such a wonderful person. He was welcoming and friendly and an all around nice guy. I still kept in touch with him over the years and still remained very personable. My deepest condolences to Helen and the rest of his family. May his spirit be at peace.
To Helen Auramenko and family we extend our deepest sympathy on your loss.

Helen and family,
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time. We will miss the walks Don would take down the alley to check out the gardens. He would always stop and visit at the fence and say hello. It was always a joy to see him coming! May his cherished memories bring you comfort. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dear Helen and family,
Our condolences are sent to you all. It is so sad to lose a loved one so young!
We are grateful for the happy times we have shared with you over the last many years—it will be difficult to even think of Don and not have a smile on my face. He loved life and we loved him!♥️

Bob and I first met Don when we moved into Woodlands 43 years ago. The fences were not built yet so we got to know our neighbours very quickly. I was so envious of his and Helen’s green thumb that I cut out a patch of our yard for a garden. I was always curious what his next project would be. I’ve never met someone so ambitious to do it himself and complete each project with perfection. We shared tips for growing veggies and had great chats while trying to maintain a garden in the alley. He will be sorely missed! Gail and Bob Horvath
