My most sincere condolences to all of Sandra's family. As a colleague through the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Alberta and a fellow translator, I always enjoyed our conversations and her input. She was always lively, warm, kind and very generous, and I am so saddened that her life was cut short.

On behalf of the Calgary Italian School, deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to the Berti family on Sandra’s much too premature passing. Her presence will be greatly missed at the school. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sincere condoglianze a tutti i membri di famiglia di Sandra specialmente a Martin e Sebastian. Ho avuto il piacere di avere Sandra in un corso di italiano alla scuola italiana di Calgary, di conoscere suo marito Martin, di ospitarli a casa mia per cena una sola volta, I ricordi di Sandra sono belli. Occhi brillanti di gioia, una voce dolcissima, un sorriso bello e genuino, delle maniere signorili, una mente desiderosa di apprendere la lingua italiana . La sua gioia di vivere era evidente. Is with the deepest sorrow that I say Good Bye to Sandra, my dear friend of 25ish years with whom we shared many milestones of our adult life.

Her true radiancy came from a rare inner beauty, her infectious zest for life and her genuine care for those around her.

She was energetic, dynamic and gregarious and always had a busy planner pursuing her many interests and her appetite for learning...But if you needed her, she would stop everything and give you her full attention.

Sandra loved her family and was a very involved momma. She was very proud of Sebastian.

It feels totally unfair that her life was cut too short.

We are left with the good memories and the gratitud for the privilege of having shared part of her path.

We will miss you Bertonita. I will miss our weekly catch up chats and your incredible laughter.

We will keep our eyes on your great boys.

My condolences to Sandra’s family, especially Martin and Sebastian. Although I only met you a few times Sandra often spoke of your camping trips and Sebastian’s plans for the future.

I met Sandra at the Mount Pleasant Tennis Club and immediately connected with her. Sandra’s friendly and inclusive personality just makes everyone feel welcome. Over the years we played many tennis matches and she continued to play even during treatment. I was amazed by her positive attitude and enthusiasm.

I am so sad to lose such a wonderful friend, you will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Sandra’s family. I met Sandra a few years ago when I started playing tennis at Mount Pleasant and have been lucky to call her a friend ever since. She has always been so kind, so much fun and incredibly patient with whoever she played tennis with, even with beginners like me. More than her amazing tennis talent, I’ll remember all the laughs we had, her positive attitude and infectious zest for life, I’m going to try your special “put your hip into it” forehand this season, Sandra and hope I can make you proud! I’m going to miss Sandra so much, she was a beautiful person to know.

Where do I start? This is a great loss for anyone that was fortunate enough to have Sandra touch their lives. She was an amazing friend to me and our family for over 17 years. Sandra is a pillar in her Community and will be deeply missed by all. She was a true friend that loved bringing people together! If not In her home, definitely at the pool!

Her and Martin are always organizing social gatherings and she made sure she could include as many people that would fit in her home, around the table or the back yard. We raised our sons together since the age of 3.From toddlers to University Attendees.

She absolutely adored Sebi. I know that she is so saddened to not be able to be along his side during his University years and into his future. She was always so proud of him. She loved being a mother to Sebastian.

True friends are hard to come by. Sandra was more than a true friend to me and our family.

I will miss hearing about her latest travel adventure and where she wants to go next. Sharing stories of raising our sons.Plus hearing about her love of tennis and her latest tennis social gathering or challenge.

I will miss her soooooo much.

She touched me and my families lives.

Life will not be the same without Sandra in it.

I know I am not alone in my deep sense of loss over her.

We are all so truly blessed to have had her come into our lives.

So sad that she had to go.

I love you dearly Sandra.

Sandra was my translator. I first met Sandra in the early 1990’s. In my career In the oil and gas pipeline sector I worked internationally for companies like Nova, TransCanada and Enbridge. Whenever I needed technical or legal documents translated from Spanish to English or vice versa, Sandra was always my go to translator. She was always very responsive and dedicated to her work. The quality of her work was impeccable and I would get positive comments from my clients in the Spanish speaking countries that I worked in. I have very fond memories of Sandra and the work that she did for me.

To Sandra's family and many friends, I am so sorry for your loss.

I know Sandra from her participation in fitness classes at Renfrew.

As you say in your writing, she was able to chat and interact with others with ease and make the rest of us feel good. In the Parks and Rec setting, we didn't get to know one another really well, but we enjoyed each other's participation and encouraged each other even as we chose weights, wiped sweat away, rehydrated, and discussed the class. And laughed.

I got to see a small part of Sandra, and I am thankful for that, but thank you for letting me know more. I will miss her.
