Condolences
I was just sipping my morning coffee out of my “Colorado” coffee mug (purchased in Grand Junction many years ago) thinking about Trevor and realized we hadn’t chatted for a while and I was going to message him… Then I came across this unbelievable posting.
I have known Trevor since we met in college at UND so many years ago, we reconnected many years after that time and stayed in touch off and on for years.
My favorite memories include a trip I made to Colorado to visit friends with a side trip to Grand Junction to see him. It was so fun to see Colorado through his eyes, he showed me all his properties and talked about his future plans after leaving Halliburton and Williams and wanting to retire young.
He was such a smart, funny and talented person. He loved his daughter, family and friends so very much.
Kind thoughts are being sent to his family and friends
Happened to be looking up old friends and was shocked to see that Trevor was no longer with us…we worked for few years together in vernal utah doing well completions for Halliburton energy. We hung out often at his home there on our time off years ago. He was a very hard working person and a great friend. He will be missed. Thoughts and condolences to his family. And upon reading his obituary I learned he had a daughter named Alora…I also have a daughter with same name and spelled the same which I thought was very rare and unique cause that was also my mothers name. She passed when I was 14. Small world it is. RIP Trevor thanks for the memories bud. Til we meet again.
This is not necessarily to be posted. I just wanted the family to know that I may not have shared my last name. Please put Jones next to my first name David. Also, it appears that none of the guys on our UND baseball team knew about this so you may receive more posts. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to. I may have some photos of Trevor and us playing baseball in college. Dave Jones
Please know I just happened to look up Trevor while thinking about him. We played college baseball together at UND. Trevor and I were close during those years. Every game I started, he was the closing pitcher. That year we "rolled" to the college World Series. Trevor would say, "we're rollin'". He and I had a lot of laughs together. He was a great ball player, teammate, and close friend. I feel shocked and sad to learn this tonight. I love you Trevor! Thank you for all of the great memories. I'll think of you often.
I randomly came across that Trevor had passed away. I was a freshman at UND and fellow Canadian when he was a senior and he treated me so well. My favorite memory with Trevor is when there was a snowball fight outside Smith Hall. I had no idea he was a ball player, let alone a pitcher. He was on my side during the snowball fight, and I quickly realized after the first person he hit, that he was more than just a decent thrower. Needless to say our side won...
A real honour I got to know Trevor

I went to school with Trevor at UND Williston in 1991-92 and played baseball with him there, and with the 1992&1993 team Saskatchewan Baseball teams that went to the Canada Summer games in Kamloops in 1993, so we got to live together with our Band of Brothers from two different teams in green uniforms, on fields of green for three consecutive years. His lust for life was infectious and his fun-loving personality, smile, and laugh could up lift anybody having an off-day. He was a fierce competitor and tremendous athlete that could excel at whatever he wanted and have one heck of a good time while doing so! I had the pleasure of having a couple lengthy FaceTime visits with him a couple times in this last year, laughing and reminiscing of the glory days in green, piecing together stories of on and off the field fun, and catching up on the time that has flown by in a the decades of being apart. We talked about friends, our parents, siblings, the next generation of our families, and of course his daughter Alora. We talked of heart warming and heart breaking years, the struggles of living alone in a pandemic world where socializing, a favourite pastime of both of us, has became so difficult, and plans of when he was going to be able to get back in the gym to "give er" again. I regret not reaching out more, a heartbreaking reminder to always make time for family and friends, our loved ones. My deepest sympathies go out to Don and Joan, Alora, and the entire Skjerpen family, I wish I could be there to hug each and everyone of you. Trevor was one-of-a-kind, a truly unique beauty, he will be missed dearly by many, and his life should be celebrated for making our lives of the people he reached, so much richer.
I became friends with Trevor when he was attending school in Williston, ND. A friend and I were just visiting about him a few weeks ago. He was such a fun spirit with such a sparkle in his eyes. He left a lasting impression on those of us who were lucky to get to know him and I am sure your lives are feeling a void with him now gone. My deepest sympathy to you all along with much light, love and peace.
My sincere condolences to Trevor's family, I went to school with him at UND-Williston where he played ball. We got to be good friends while was in Williston.
My condolences to the family of a good friend Trevor. Played baseball with Trevor at UND-Williston. We didn’t get off on the right foot but didn’t take long to realize we were a lot alike and soon after like brothers.
Trevor was a close friend of my son Jean paul, and our family.
He was like a big smiley bear, and had a wonderful disposition.
We were in Las Vegas and Trevor was up and down the strip hugging and shaking hands like a politician...
Fortified with a few pops of course!!
