On Sunday, April 4, 2021 we lost our loving, caring son Trevor in Cochrane, AB.

He was born in Edmonton and raised in Saskatchewan.  He attended elementary school in Warman and graduated high school in Saskatoon.

Trevor was an outstanding athlete who excelled in hockey and baseball.  He played for the Saskatoon Blazers AAA midget hockey team, but decided to pursue his talents in baseball.  He proceeded to the U.S. while on a baseball scholarship, graduating from the University of North Dakota with a degree in Geological Engineering. The Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him and he played in their farm system for two years as a pitcher.  After which he commenced his professional career as a Geological Engineer working in the oil industry in the northern United States for many years.

He was an outgoing and lovable character who had many friends because of his quick wit and great sense of humour.  He loved spending time and having fun with his friends. His family was incredibly important to him, especially his daughter, Alora.

Our hearts are broken but we know he is in a better place free from pain. God took him home to be with Jesus. We are thankful for the time we had with him.

He is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by his family. He leaves to his mourn his daughter, Alora, his parents, Don and Joan Skjerpen; brother Craig (Seana) and nephew Erik; his sister Tina (Derrick) and nephew and niece, Dylan and Mychaela; his sister Lisa (Wade) and nephews, Sterling and Jasper; and his grandmother, Jean Skjerpen.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Violet Higgins, and paternal grandfather Harold Skjerpen.
