Mary Johnson of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the age of 91 years. 

Mary was born on July, 6, 1929 in Calgary, AB. She was a registered nurse at the Calgary General Hospital for many years. Mary also spent two years in Australia, working as a nurse. She volunteered with St. John’s Ambulance and with Care West. Mary enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing and travelling with hiking clubs. She loved the mountains, weaving and was the founding member of the Heritage Weavers and Spinners Guild. In September 2005, Mary was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal for outstanding service to the community. 

Mary is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Helen Johnson; nephew Andrew and nieces Elaine and Emily of Australia; sister-in-law Julie, nephew Trent and niece Louise of British Columbia. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Johnson.
