Condolences
"I hope you're dancing in the sky
And I hope you're singing in the angel's choir
And I hope the angels know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in Heaven since you arrived"
I went to school with Mel. He was the “it” guy at Fairview Elementary and Junior High School. A very good looking guy was extremely popular. Mel never viewed himself that way and was friendly to everyone. Mel carried himself like one of the regular guys. Mel was sharp witted and always ready to share laughs with his large pool of friends. When I saw Mel had passed, it really was and still is very unsettling. I send out my condolences to his family. In particular, his brother Derek who I knew from school as well. Rest In Peace dear friend. - Scott Korek
Always loved to hear Mel’s industry stories and talk hockey at the rink. Deepest condolences. The Owerkos.
Sending thoughts and love from Wade, Ang, Aly and Eric McLeod. We can’t imagine the loss you are feeling. Mel will never be forgotten
My favourite memory of Mel is from when Holly was a toddler and Karna and Mel visited us while Mel was working here in Sask. He was so very genial and kind to us and our small daughter. We were always grateful for that opportunity to get to know him better. He was much loved and is sorely missed.

How do you say enough about someone like Mel Wolfe? Words are not enough, you need to be able to hear his laugh, see his smile and know his kind heart before you can start to understand the guy he was. There are not too many people who are as real as Mel, he did not pretend to be someone he wasn’t and his sincerity was refreshing. One thing he didn’t have a problem expressing was his incredible pride in his family. Each one of his spectacular children was spoken of often over the years and his beautiful wife Karna is one person who has the same kind heart as Mel, what an incredible couple.
Mel and Karna are also responsible for the many happy days we as a family have known as we never would have met without them! Mel wanted the same happiness for his friends and set us up on a blind date. 25 years and two amazing kids later, we are still grateful they decided we should meet!
Mel and Karna, thank you for your friendship, generosity and many incredible laughs and memories!
Our sincere condolences for your loss, Mel was an incredible person. We are grateful to have experienced such a special friendship, he will be missed.
So sorry for your loss Karna & family. Hold onto your memories!

Very sorry for your loss, I worked with Mel for many years. He was a one of a kind guy and showed me a fair bit about going beyond just surveying.
