Condolences
My sincere condolences to Agnes' family. Agnes was a generous, kind, caring woman. I had the pleasure of meeting her through my work with the Alberta Registered Nurses Educational Trust (ARNET). Agnes was the major donor to the Saskatoon City Hospital Alumnae Scholarship.
I still remember the first time I met Agnes at her retirement home. I was expecting to meet someone who required some assistance to walk - a walker at the very least. Not Agnes. She marched down to meet Betty Gourlay and I in the lobby, we had trouble keeping up with her pace. Since that first visit, I had the privilege of many phone conversations with Agnes. Her love of family was first and foremost. I loved her stories about her family, how much her memories with them meant to her and how she worried about their health and wellbeing. She was a treasure to all her met her. She made a permanent mark on my heart.
I will miss her very much,
Marilyn Wacko, RN

My sincere condolences to all of the family of Agnes. My friendship with Agnes was through our Saskatoon City Hospital Alumnae. Agnes was a vibrant , friendly and intelligent lady with a generous heart. She was a charitable person, and was the major contributor to an endowed scholarship for our Alumnae. The scholarship is managed by the Alberta Registered Nurses Educational Trust (ARNET), which provides a yearly scholarship to a Calgary Registered Nurse.
I will miss our telephone conversations.

I met your Mom through LEIC. She is one of the group of amazing strong women of Icelandic descent that I admired and still admire in the LEIC. She was a thoughtful, caring and kind person. She will be missed. My thoughts are with all of you. Shelley McReynolds
