Condolences
It is sad to say goodbye to such a good friend. When Pat lived here in the condo, we had so many good times together , and she was a friend to many of us. Her sense of humour, her love of good conversations (especially on politics) and the many parties and dinners and other outings we shared left me with many good memories. Pat often came back to visit even after she moved and her illness began to affect her life. We all admired her courage, her ability to always be cheerful even when she was obviously in pain. She was a very special person and will be missed. Genevieve Janssen
My memories of Pat I will always remember is. Mothers Day breakfasts I had with Pat Brent my son Jeff are so very special to me
My heartfelt condolences to Brent, Kristine and families. My visits to Stella, the best dog ever, were made more fun when Pat would be home and we could engage in a brief review of the world's political blights. I enjoyed her sharp wit and keen observations. My favorite memory of Pat is when she shared her delicious Welsh Cakes with me. Still a highlight!
Pat was a model of how to live life to the fullest, no matter what travails came her way.
Our sincere condolences to Pat's family. We will always remember living in northeast Edmonton, with Aunty Pat and Uncle Gary just down the street. It was somehow comforting to know "family" was close by.
Our neighborhood was very close knit and we will always remember those Grey Cup Parties!! Brent was a buddy to our Tom and we remember the excitement in the household when "Fenner" arrived.
Pat was a wonderful soul who always put everyone else's needs before hers. May she rest in peace now.
Condolences to Brent, Jenn and families,
Pat was a great friend who left a lasting impression on many people. I am one of the residents of Evergreen Condo who was privileged to have Pat as a neighbour for a few years. She was an interesting person who loved life and who was always ready fo anything…quiet conversations or lively discussions, trips, parties, games, movies and dining out. We had great times. Even after she moved from the condo, she continued to participate in these activities. She had many friends here. We certainly admired her spirit and tenacity throughout her illness.
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to meet Pat and to become a friend. She leaves me with many wonderful memories. I will miss her.

Jennifer and Brent. It was my privilege to work with your mom at SunLife for a few years. I remember a poem you wrote for me, Jen. I believe it was called “An Ode to a Manager”. I appreciated it so much. I’m trying to find it. On behalf of Val and me, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mom was a little ball of fire, wasn’t she.
Brent, Jenn and Families: Your Mom was an exceptional person in all aspect! She was beautiful both inside and out. I will miss our wonderful conversations about everything from politics, to decorating to education, grandchildren to the current topic of the day. Pat had a great sense of style whether in home decor, flower arrangements or in her personal style, which was always spectacular! She looked great at all times! Her spirit and stamina will be long remembered by those who knew Pat. Our thoughts, sympathy and caring are with you all at this time.
Brent and Jenn, I am so sad to hear of your moms passing. My sincere condolences to you both and loved ones. Your mom has had a true lasting impression on me. Remembering her spirit and energy lit up a room. In both her pursuits and heart were full of warmth and generosity. I admired her elegant style and graceful way of being. She was a joy to be around, all ways. I have often craved her potato and cheese casserole over the years! She put on a spread like no other making sure there was a favourite for everyone. She taught me how to make a gravy people talk about(a little heavy on the red wine and peeper;))I will forever think of her at Turkey dinners. We had a stroll along 4th street a couple years back, coffee in hand shuffling through boutique stores, it was a gift to be in the of presence of such unconditional love. I will cherish this connection and qualities of being so open, accepting and loving. She was a true earth angel.
Big love to you both.

Brent, Jennifer, and family
Our deepest sympathies to you and your families. It’s been many years, and we have nothing but fond memories of your Mom. Her contagious laughter and kind heart will always be remembered. May the memories of your Mom comfort you. It was a privilege growing up with you on 152A Ave in Edmonton. We had great neighbours and fantastic Grey cup parties. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sharon, Gordon, and Jackie (Romman).
Brent, Jenn, and families:
So shocked to read your Mom's obit in today's Herald.
We used to run into each other at Safeway and get 'caught up on families, or at Cobb's, where she was getting her favourite bread. (We go back a long way ..
I still remember you, Brent, helping to build that wood structure in our driveway! ) I was so touched to see both of you at Phil's memorial. She was always such an upbeat woman in spite of her several health issues, but was so very happy to be able to move in with you and Kristine. (Please let Jenn know I've never forgotten the pussy willows she used to bring! ) They say only the good die young ... she was 79 .. far too young! My heart and sympathies go out to all of you. Please call if there's ANYTHING I can do to help lessen your pain.
