Thinking these past few days on how best to honor my memories of Pat. She was one of the first people I met when I first moved to Calgary in 2004 and I worked with her at Canada Diagnostic Centres. She was so lively for such a small statured woman! Her no-nonsense manner and smile could disarm the grumpiest patients. She was always up for a dinner out and I lost count the number of times we went to Cravings for drinks/desserts after work. She came with a knitted outfit for my daughter shortly after she was born and she always had good sound advise on mothering. She was kind and gentle and very supportive. We loved to talk about Wales and Europe and the places we had been. I have some teacups and other treasures she shared with me after she moved out of her Fishcreek condo which I will treasure for always. She was loved and is already missed so much! I'm so grateful that she is no longer in pain - my feisty friend with her huge strong spirit is no longer trapped in that small body and she is pain free! My heart and prayers go out to Jenn and Brent and their families as they mourn the loss of their beautiful mom.
