Condolences
I am so sad to hear the news of Dave’s passing. My sincere condolences to his family.
One of my favorite memories of teaching at Cluny Bow Valley was the day that Dave walked up to me in the hallway and said “I want to take the kids in this school to the Winter Olympics. I will supply the buses. Will you organize it?” I hadn’t really thought about the Winter Olympics yet and usually I was out looking for people to help do adventures like that but Dave had the foresight to think of it early enough and was offering to make it happen. I remember a moment of shock and saying “The whole school?”. He said “yes” and I immediately took him up on the offer.
Well, we did take the students to the Winter Olympics and created a once in a lifetime memory for those kids. We had a great time, but for me the big moment was that moment of initiative and kindness in the hallway that I really remember. I’ve had many people over the years generously give of their time to help create wonderful memories for the students but I asked for the help. Dave just casually walked up and said this is what I want to do. My only regret was I never got to remind him of that kindness later in life and to tell him how much it meant. RIP Dave!

My condolences to Dave's children & grandchildren, also to the Doore family. We are saddened by your loss, Dave was huge part of Shawn Calf Robe s life & career as an outrider. The memories of Dave & Loretta will never be forgotten. Thanks you Dave for being part of our life. RIP Dave
